So was this Precipitated Withdrawal?

Okay so yesterday I made the decision to quite dope and took my last shot at about 1pm in the afternoon. Roughly 24 hours later, at like 1:30-2pm I was feeling a bit shitty and decided to take a 2mg sub. I know what the basic symptoms are for precipitated withdrawals but this was a little weird. For some reason I start getting really anxious and nervous, my heart rate spiked pretty high and I felt like I was on the verge of passing out. The thing is I didn't feel any of the other symptoms of withdrawal, nausea, cramps, all the other happy shit. After about 30 minutes I decided to take some klonopin to ease the anxiety and after about an hour total I came back down to normal, though I do still feel a little on edge. Basically, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, my friend said she tought maybe it was just anxiety of putting a different drug in my system but I don't know. In addition, would I be able to start taking the suboxone again maybe tomorrow? Right now the klonopin is doing enough for right now. Thanks for the help.
 
Depending on how bad your habit was, i have a feeling that the worst has yet to come for you. Take the subs tomorrow for sure.
 
Yea I don't know if posting exact quantities is accepted here on BL but needless to say it was a pretty healthy habit. I'm sure that the next few days aren't going to be enjoyable, I'm just hoping I could take the subs again without this problem repeating itself.
 
Hey sorry to do this but I would really like any sort of response. Does anyone think this will happen again tomorrow or was it just a simple panic attack?
 
I don't think it was precipitated withdrawal. I guess it could have been a mild form of it - did this happen very suddenly and occur soon after taking the Suboxone? How were you feeling before that?

It also could have either been:
- Some symptoms of regular withdrawal - like anxiety - which are to be expected when switching from heroin to Suboxone, since the drugs have different mechanisms of action Suboxone often doesn't alleviate 100% of withdrawals so the first few days of switching can be hard while you adjust.
- A bad reaction to the Suboxone. Suboxone does give some people side effects like that. Sometimes the side effects improve once you get used to it.
- As you said, a panic attack due to taking a new drug, the stress of switching/stopping heroin, etc.

Not sure how to tell which it was or whether it will happen again next time you take the Suboxone. Try not to be too worried about it and give it another try tomorrow I guess :)

Hummm.. it could definitely be a case of mild PW's as in my experience, they aren't all the same... However, once it subsides, the bupe will be attatched to your receoptors so in theory, It shouldn't happen again. I would start taking 1-2mg's every two hours or so until you begin to feel relief but don't go over 8mg's on the first day. Then, the next day, maybe take 4mg's in the morning and see how you feel... but give it time. Suboxone isn't an instant cure.. it takes time for the drug to do its thing and peaks after a couple hours. If you just keep re-dosing before your body has had a chance to let it metabolize and get you right, you could end up just making it worse solely from overloading your receptors too soon. The transition to suboxone takes patience and unfortunately, a bit of suffering for a day or two before you level out on a given dose.
 
Yea, I think I should come clean and admit that I also tried shooting it too( stupid I know). Idk if that may have had any effect.
 
That has happened to me. Sounds like you took the sub too quick and it threw you into PW/D...luckily you had some downers....I agree that its a horrible feeling.
