Be safe guys, practice harm reduction by spending a few bucks on a test kit. I bought it just for using with mdma, but turns out this thing is pretty much good for almost anything.

lmao, when I was posting this I was thinking, I bet someone is going to think I'm a ninja advertising for dancesafe.org if I mention them!

But no, I've been a BL member for a lot longer then you, and recently just happened to purchase a marquis kit from them to test questionable m, and then I applied it to the coke I got today as well.

Another highly reputable website I would recommend to purchase from is http://www.eztestkits.com/en/ecstasy-drug-testing-kit . Dance safe has been around for a lot longer then I have been doing drugs for though xd.

The point of this thread was basically just a Harm Reduction warning. A cheap test kit can help you distinguish almost any drug very easily. At the very least you know your dealer is fucking you over, or you know what the main cut is in whatever you are buying. I was mostly just curious why testing is only done for the most part by the mdma community, and not noticeably on this forum by any other genre of drug consumers. Drug dealers are fucking scum bags, and even if you are grabbing from a good friend or best friend, chances are they are still selling a shit/cut/misleading product without even knowing it if you truly trust them! Chances are they are buying a cut product in slight bulk in the first place. Most dealers don't know shit about testing, an a good dealer shouldn't be using what they are chopping anyways so they wouldn't know fuck all. I've always wondered what the coke I buy that is chunky with some powder contains as a cut. (The powder in the bag turned a much darker orange/red, where as the chunks I cut up to test had a lot more clear in them with a slight orange with the test, so I'm assuming they were actually decent cocaine with the speed powder that was in the bag and on the rocks just slightly fucking with the test).

Anyways, why the f would you not want to at least get a half decent idea of what is going into your body. Street drugs are always going to be cut to fuck, now more then ever, every level of the chain just wants to make more MONEY.

It pretty much literally followed the amphetamine time line as far as the reaction went. Yellow, orange, dark orange/red within 20 seconds.

I tried some shit cocaine tonight with a terrible drip and no effect (not my coke - just a line and bump of a friends). I've saved a little bit and I'm going to test it to buy a marquis test kit to see what it really was.

Thanks for the thread + demo of the recation. I usually only stick to pharmaceutical drugs so always know what I'm taking. When the kit comes I'll upload the results too.

Definitely sounds like amphetamine. Probably not meth either, as that usually turns to a much nastier brown color.

Telling members where you sourced drugs form = 0% harm reduction.
Telling members where you bought a workable Marquis test to prove the MDMA you bought was actually amphetamine = 100% harm reduction.

Cocaine cut with amphetamine is less common than you'd expect ('cause the duration is so much longer with amps it's easy to tell it's not coke), a good portion of the time it's just been bulked to shit with stuff like phenacetin and hydrolysed to benzoylecognine (i.e. it got wet).

If you have access to a few reagents you can make your own Marquis from concentrated formaldehyde solution, glacial acetic acid, and concentrated sulfuric acid.

REAGENT PREPARATION
Reagent 1: Add 8-10 drops (approx. 0.25 ml) of 37% formaldehyde solution to 10 ml of
glacial acetic acid.
Reagent 2: Concentrated sulphuric acid.
PROCEDURE
- Place a small amount (1-2 mg of powder, or 1-2 drops of a liquid) of the suspected
material in a depression on a spot plate.
- Add one drop of Reagent 1, then one drop of Reagent 2, and stir.
- Observe the color of the mixture.

^^^ yeah, it's easy to tell the difference. But here in the south, amps are all over the place. More than once I've seen coke which clearly had some type in it.

Interesting procedure, though, that is the kind of information that should be available.

Interesting.. I've got my hands on very good coke before, at least I feel that way, and friends agreed at that time. The best stuff I got had that moisture to it u mention. Looked small, but broke down fat. Drip was nothing abnormal. I knew it was good and all but decided to try a speedball shot during my IV heroin days. (I do NOT condone IV usage of any type, but cocaine is especially dangerous.) That blew my brain sideways... too much for me.

Most poopy coke I've tried has given me terrible drips. The more loose/powdery the stuff usually the less quality.

could see people adding amp to it, but around here way more coke than meth. More likely to be crap cut into it. I doubt I ever got any amp w/ it. Always good to know what u got tho! Wish I woulda tested some H with the proper test. I could swear people were putting something in some of the stuff I got during that time.
