So my girlfriend starts talking about circumcision...

I'm not sure...Just stating what is in my published college textbook titled "Our Sexuality"
 
^I'd like to see the actual study "results" in question here, not what a textbook said. The textbook should have a source listed for that study. If they don't, I wouldn't even begin to trust it.
 
Mucous membrane needs a protective covering. Stop blinking at me. I will undergo circumcision just as soon as you have your eyelids removed.
 
I had to get mine cut when I was 25 because the foreskin literally ripped from a night of rough sex and wouldn't heal, honestly I'm so glad that I got circumcised, for me it was painful having sex when I was uncircumcised the skin would stretch and would be sore for days.

there must have always been some tightness issue there. never had any of that myself.

go for it if you are in pain or it doesn't function properly during sex but for aesthetic sake is not so wise (operations carry risk)
