Benzos so i'm basically off xanax right?

i was taking xanax every day for a little over a month, 2mg a day in the beginning then 1mg a day in the final weeks. i stopped cold turkey last week, and on the second day i got an anxiety attack and went the ER for valium.

next day i went to my doctor and she put me on this type of taper to take every day...

Day 1/2/3: .5mg every day
Day 4/5/6: .25mg every day
Day 6/7/8/9: .125mg every day
Day 10/11/12/13: .125 every other day

i am currently on day 7 and i feel completely normal, and i feel like i could just stop .125 is absolutely nothing, even .25 is nothing. i could give .25 to my mom and she wouldn't even feel it. what do you guys think?

This is only worth a reply because it's kind of funny after reading your other posting. lol.
 
i've been addicted to drugs many times in my life, but that happened without me even realizing what was happening. and the moment i realized what i've become, i stopped. once you are physically dependent on a drug you are no longer in control of your own life, and thats a shitty feeling isnt it? once you are physically dependent on a drug you hand your life over to the dealer or a pharmaceutical company who won't give a fuck if drop dead taking their product.

but its just insane to me how some people WILLINGLY agree to take anti depressents or xanax and say ok, im gonna take this every day so that i feel better. are you THAT weak minded that you NEED this drug to be the source of your happiness or reason for living?

sorry for asking this on your thread but ive forgotten on how to start one of my own and hoped you guys may be able to help. Today I acquired an amount of a certain Xanax brand I can't name but they come in strips of 15,the pills are small,round with no markings at all and when I swallowed 1 for allergy testing it had an INCREDIBLE bitter taste. As ive only used Xanax once before and they were the bars I don't know too much about them. Really hope someone can help and thanks in advance Id someone can help me

but fyi, alprazolam is one of the worst tasting benzos out there.
 
thank you bud,I knew brands were off limits but Id no idea about pill ID's I was hoping it would be easier for people to know what I was talking about. and your not wrong about the taste! 1 pill and I thought "never have I taste bitterness than these lol thanks for setting me straight on pill I. D and not berating me like ive noticed a fair amount of people here doing that. Thanks again bud :)

its just because without proper lab testing we really can't guess what you've got, and the last thing we want is to tell you a pill is safe and then have you OD or die.

A month @ 1-2mg a day ain't no thang... You must be weak minded!

Just yanking your chain golanchik :). You don't need to taper off of that and you're just making it worse by prolonging it. Just stop eating benzos.
 
Yeah, a month isn't nothing compared to others, of course you'll feel uncomfortable for a few days, but your seizure risk is very low (but still possible, everyone's body chemistry is different), im not a doctor, im an addict like most people on this site.

I was on Benzos for 8+ months using everyday, on top of my methadone dose at 80mg.
My Benzos of choice were Xanax and Valium. When taken together I would use 4-5mg Xanax and 40-60mg of Valium, daily. When taken separate, I would use 6-10mg Xanax daily, or Valium 90-120mg daily.

I immediately set an appointment with my phsyciatrist, she didn't have an appointment ready, so I set an appointment, but I had to wait 2 months for that appointment, so I called in when I was using for 6 months everyday, by the time my appointment came, I told her everything, how I already am addicited to opiates and am on methadone everyday to stop w/d, I had an awesome doctor, she's weaning me off benzos with Clonazepam. Going down .5mg every 2 weeks. But of course, every addict uses drugs differently than a non-addict, meaning abusing them. She RX'd me the 1mg klonopins, 228 of them, and they needed me to last me until our next appointment, which was 2 1/2 months away, but as of today, I got 1 month and 2 days with my next appointment, I have plenty of benzos until then. The next time I see her she's supposed to RX me .5mg Klonopins, which im completely cool with, that's how tapering works.

She also RX'd me other comfort meds, including-

Promethazine 25mg (60/month)
Hydroxyzine 25mg (120/month)
Lexapro 10mg (30/month)

The only one I don't use is the Lexapro. Because im fine with my other meds, and I don't want to be on a SSRI. I heard bad things about them, I told her straight up, I wont use these, she said do whatever you think is best, and the less meds, the better, she said. The hydroxyzine works wonders with the klonopin, im going to request that id like to be on this drug for a long time, because it doesn't come with w/d symptoms. Same with Promethazine. SSRI's DO come with W/d symptoms, so im going to cancel my RX of Lexapro and get more promethazine and hydroxyzine, she told me herself on our next visit tell me whats working best for you. and those 2 are the ones that work best with me along with the k-pin.

How does the prometh work for you? What do you think it helps with most?

LOTS of things actually. Nausea/vomiting, motion sickness, insomnia, and makes your opiate of choice stronger (mine is methadone), and takes away the negative side effects of the opiate, dizziness, itching, etc.

Lots of people actually abuse promethazine when on opiates, because they know it gets them higher, and with less bad side effects, I mean you can't go wrong with promethazine. It's my all time favorite Non-Scheduled drug.

So yeah, in conclusion, promethazine takes away the bad side effects of drugs (including opiates and benzos), and keeps the positives.

Promethazine is a god send to me........
