It sucks??? Literally made to stalk people, it has no other purpose. Sell stuff maybe, and getting tracked by feds. What other purpose does it have?
Damn i believe you. I hope they were not private videos hahaFacebook scares the living shit out of me. I have an account I've got like one friend. I use it just for some things I can't get elsewhere. Sounds like you're not a big fan of social media. Just like I'm not... be aware of these buttons that you click. Let the program do this. Let the program do that. It wasn't Facebook that did it to me but some program I logged on to. I guess I told it it had access to my film reel on my camera on my phone and then I go to these other websites and there's my entire film role all over these other websites like a two or three other websites. I spend a lot of time changing settings on these programs to try and maintain some semblance of privacy
It's some people's drug. They need to open their eyes every morning and see how many likes and new "friends" they have otherwise their world crumbles down.Literally made to stalk people, it has no other purpose. Sell stuff maybe, and getting tracked by feds. What other purpose does it have?
Same here. Much happier without any social media accounts. I do have a FB with 16 friends on it ( all family and a few high school friends ) but I never use it. I also don't have a cell phone so I don't have the constant daily interruptions. If someone wants to talk to me they have my home phone number and if I'm not here they leave a message and I call them back. Living my life on my terms and not someone else's is such a feeling of freedom. I get much more done during the day without having to check all these silly tweets and IG and tik tok nonsense. I suppose it all has it's merits and I'm not knocking people that use these platforms daily it just isn't for me.Its amazing how much happier my life seems to be compared to others. Never had a FB, no IG, no nothing.
I realized recently why it’s so important. My wife and I missed a festival that I’ve been to pretty much every year since it’s inception. I really don’t FOMO often but when she kept shoving her phone in my face to show me video after video of what I missed, god damn if I wasn’t FOMO’in like a MF. I had to tell her (multiple times sadly, they must really be addicting) to stop showing me cuz it wasn’t doing anything positive for my mental health. I know I missed an amazing event, I’d rather just leave it at that then dwell on it by watching all this media.

BL is the only account I have and am active on and it's just enough " outside " stimulation to not make me feel like i am totally anti-social.
Haha i just logged in again today and i had dozens of "friend requests" from people ive never seen or who saw me once or twice somewhere, their profile was full of crap like "what kind of dog are you when you get angry" and memes of crying cats complaining about being single, like, no shit, no wonder those people are single if selfies and likes are what goes on in their minds all day lolIt's some people's drug. They need to open their eyes every morning and see how many likes and new "friends" they have otherwise their world crumbles down.
It's also a good place to start when you want to feel like a superstar, flooding the www with twenty selfies every three or so hours. Just to tell all your "friends" how much better you look, and how nicer your surroundings and how hotter your gf/bf is compared to theirs.
Nah, feel ya, IG does that to me whenever i see photos of concerts i missed and i just think "damn, my life is boring compared to all the people who went to the concert"Its amazing how much happier my life seems to be compared to others. Never had a FB, no IG, no nothing.

You are right, but like @lecroute said, it is literally an addiction, with actual withdrawal symptoms when you try to quit, some dont even have hobbies or a life outside of social media, and i seen it fuck with their personality and identitySame here. I know some people that spend all day and most of the night staring into their phones and it makes you wonder where their real priorities lie. Most don't have jobs or healthy relationships and I'm not surprised that they don't. How could they when they spend all time in the virtual world getting involved in everyone elses problems instead of dealing with their own.
