Hey I have a Benzo harm reduction question. Im 6'2 220lbs. 3 mgs of clonazepam will give me a nice buzz. If
0.5mg of clonazepam is equal to 10 mg of valium. How much can i safely take and feel not over powered?

have you ever used benzos before? start out with swallowing 0.5-1mg on an empty stomach, you will probably feel it, but dont expect much

Those equalization charts are based on pharmaceutical, medicinal doses and not so much recreational doses.

I'd say a nice buzz and over powered are about 1-2 mg apart at that tolerance level.

This makes no sence. I would not even feel 5 mg of valium. I took 30 mg this morning and got a nice euphoric buzz when i mixed with some bud

This is HR, he/she's asking about how much valium to take to not feel overpowered (getting a buzz, or getting high) to releive anxiety. Since we know 3mg of clonazepam gives you a buzz, how much do you need to get relief from anxiety? I assume you don't need 3mg of clonazepam, or enough to get a buzz, to deal with anxiety, but not feel zonked out.

I have no expirece with clonazepam, but i would say start with 10mg of valium and see if you can manage the anxiety. Bump it up slowly if its not enough.

Then realize you can't be taking these daily long term, and taper down with the valium over the course of a few months. It will only help your anxiety in the long term. The only way you can face it is to stop numbing and burying those emotions away with benzos. Its quite honestly, imho, the worst think someone with anxiety can do (get a long term benzo habit). You just ignore the problems, until it all comes boiling up when you run out, forget a dose, or get hit with an extra serving of shit from life.

OP your question is way too broad, too speculative, for any of us to answer. Can you be more specific as to what your asking?

You should not be abusing benzodiazepines, that will cause your already severe anxiety to get worse and worse over time. GABAergic drugs are very unforgiving, they must be respected and used only as tools, never as toys.

I would recommend starting with 1mg clonazepam under the tongue or orally and seeing how you feel in a couple hours, for therapeutic anxiolysis.

^this don't abuse benzodiazepines, trust me when you need anxiety relief you want to ve the klonopin have the best anxiolysis effect, but if you abuse benzos you will be screwed when you have an anxiety attack or general anxiety because the benzo won't work and you will get even mire anxious when you stop. Take 1mg, this dose will completely remove you anxiety if you don't abuse benzos

Can clonazepam be taken sublingually? I asked my pharmacist and she said you can take some benzos, like lorazepam, both orally and sublingually but not clonazepam, that clonazepam only works orally. Is there any truth to that?

Also is the OP asking how much clonazepam to take or how much diazepam (Valium) to take? I didn't really understand the post, I thought maybe they were either asking how much valium they should take to equate to 3mg clonazepam, or how much they can increase their clonazepam dose by? More info is needed I think.

Clonazepam can indeed be taken sublingually. Both the normal oral tablets and the specifically SL made orally disintegrating tablets (maybe they don't have these wafers in Canada?) can be taken via the sublingual route. I've used clonazepam sublingually many times as my doctor instructed me to do so.

In my experience, 0.5mg clonazepam or 10mg diazepam is ideal for keeping a clear mind and anything above 1.0mg clonazepam / 15mg diazepam is excessive. The effects are still very strong at 0.5mg / 10mg so I'd start there. Be weary of using benzos as a long-term solution to anxiety though.

If it's like alprazolam, it will have a slightly faster onset, but not much. BA's will also be very similar as well as half-lives. I personally love taking clonazepam SL; it has a nice minty taste to it. The only generic I've come across that won't disintegrate SL are the yellow .5 mallinkrodt's...haven't seen the other strengths, but those have a rubbery coating that keeps them from dissolving.

yes, klonopin works excellent under the tongue, it kicks in within 30 mins and the 1mg green klonopins taste soo minty and good.

clonazepam works great sublingually

Tricomb's right: I started self-medicating with benzos for anxiety/stress/depression/migraines, along with opiates, and though it provided temporary relief and kept me functioning, it really didn't take long for things to go to shit. Getting off (and back on and off and on and...) opiates wasn't that difficult for me, but three years on from starting regular, therapeutic use, I'm still trying to taper off of diaz - and while 44mgs will 'hold' me, and keep withdrawal at bay, NO dose does shit for anxiety: in fact, I'm more anxious than ever before, to the point of chronic agoraphobia, can't smoke pot anymore unless I'm on my own, and it's going to take years to return to any kind of normal sleeping pattern or my emotional 'baseline', anxious as it was.

But if, on a short-term basis, you're intent on using benzos for anxiety, then switching to diazepam is probabvly a good idea - start with 10mgs and work upwards if necessary, but take as little as possible. It's a long way down, and the higher you stack your dose, the further the fall.
