So, I have a couple of surgeries coming up....tips for not getting addicted.

You do understand that 1.2 grams of Kratom is the equivalent of half a drink, yes? Some people are taking 40 grams a day. Some people are taking 300 mgs of 7O a day. My coffee addiction is worse.
How exactly is an amount of one drug "equivalent to" an amount of another drug that has a completely different mechanism of action? That doesn't even make sense.

And just because some people are taking more kratom than you doesn't .mean that your habit won't get in the way of effective pain relief after surgery. You seem to be more intent on defending your own addiction than actually getting advice.

As a rule, I tell people to stay away from the high-powered Kratom extracts. I´ve seen very few people who are able to handle the stuff on a long(er)-term basis. I really am opposed to the stuff, mostly because I feel it is marketed in a deliberately misleading way i.e. stuff like 7-Hydroxymitragynine is marketed in this same ¨all natural, peace and love, it comes from plants bro¨ culture. In reality, 70H must be produced in an almost fully-synthetic process as the substance is not present in commercial quantities naturally. I´ve had the privilege of fielding messages from an army of ¨boomers¨ who are now full-fledged Opioid addicts who started taking this stuff for their lower back pain or what have you.

The majority of these people would say ¨what do you mean this stuff is as strong as Codeine?!¨ imagine their surprise when you tell them they´re actually taking something in the same league as Oxycodone. Most are in utter disbelief (literally, they don´t believe me) when I tell them what it is they are actually buying at the gas station.

If I were you, I would come up with a plan. Find someone in your life that you can trust to help administer your medications, whatever they are decided to be. Come up with a framework for low-medium-high dosages based upon potential pain. Entrust all of your supplies to this person with strict instructions not to exceed those certain amounts. Be sure your pain is completely under control prior to taking your medications back. I highly advise this as it has gotten me through some tough situations.

I can see no point in taking that much kratom ,40 grams a day is an insane amount and a waste
So you don't think reducing to 3 grams of Kratom is sufficient? Some nights I only take 2.4 grams (4 .6 gram caps). I do notice I get a bit of a runny nose if I don't take
If your
I have been taking Kratom for a couple of years now. I used to take 5 grams most days, but I have cut that back to less than 3, 5-6 days a week. I will get a buzz maybe once a week, every 5 days max. I have Oxy (but hardly ever take it....I've been holding it for 2 years now, LOL) and fentanyl and 7 O. I don't really like the fent so will take the 7O. Usually about 20-25 mgs or so.

This schedule has prevented me from getting addicted. But I have 2 surgical procedures coming up and will need to take pain killers for 5-7 days after each.

Please give me some advice so as not to get addicted. One, I imagine, is to keep the procedures at least 2 weeks apart.
Yes but that's easier said than done if you have been taking kratom every day bar 1?
Any mild withdrawal symptoms you may experience could possibly be veiled by the 7o,I wasn't sure if that was one of the drugs you had but hadn't touched in 2 years

I get no buzz from kratom now ,just lifts my mood and stops terrible withdrawals
Everyone Is different I know ,but after 18 years my body can't do without it

The first few times I tried it I thought it was euphoric and it still can be ,but for myself I need a 7 day gap (forced upon me obviously for whatever reason)

Correct me if I'm wrong but you take kratom 6 days a week then 1 day of abstinence which has stopped you from forming an addiction to kratom
