Feel free to move this to Drugs & Gaming, pre ordered mine few backs and told it would arrived Monday (2nd) now they saying the fucking 18th but bonus i have a spare controller that will land 2 weeks before the console 8)


Is there many Battlefield 4 players here or will be? 32 BLers on the same team would be a fucking laugh ;)
 
I had one on pre order but cancelled it when I found out Gran Turismo 6 was coming out on the PS3, will squeeze another couple of months out of the PS3 and get a PS4 in the new year after all the early adopters bugs and gripes have hopefully been ironed out.

I haven't thought about getting either a ps or an xbox. I dislike microsoft for their shit policies, but then they did a 180 and redeemed themselves I guess. They don't deserve to win the console war imo. I'd probably get a playstation as a protest. The graphics look amazing on each console, having watched youtube videos. Well impressed! I hope the ps4 does well.
 
They'll both be a solid improvement on the current gen consoles. Went with PS4 as it's cheaper, more powerful and isn't trying to be a media centre.
 
I haven't seen any release games that really shows off either consoles next gen status yet. At the moment you really just have last gen games with a slightly shinier skin. More leaves blowing in the wind and faster load times aren't enough at the moment.

Now that Sony make you pay for online play there isn't even a financial advantage of one over the other. I'm happy to sit and wait to see how each one uses their technology. Kinect is an untapped product. There were a few games on the 360 that really showed potential but the camera let them down. The touch sensor on the PS controller is another point of difference that if developed in a clever way may sway me one way or the other.
