I don't know if there are many snus users on here but I just thought I'd ask. I'm a non smoker and have no nicotine tolerance. Yesterday I tried Swedish snus, the loose kind and I don't know if I did it wrong or what but I got no effects.

I basically just grabbed some of it and stuck it in my upper lip. I left it in for a good 30 minutes and nothing. Then I had horrible insomnia last night (uncommon for me) which I'm not sure was related to the snus but I wouldn't think so considering I got no effects and I've never had insomnia from tobacco before even after having gotten sick from too much nicotine. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

Nicotine does have a stimulative effect, but Snus has very low levels of nicotine. This stuff has been around for a long time and has died and been reborn many times. It was marketted as an aid to quit smoking in the 70s, and to be honest unless you are familiar with the way nicotine works it's hard to say wether or not it worked, right?

The question you need to ask yourself is, why are you doing it in the first place? You are basically using a drug that offers no positive euphoric effect or even any positive effects and just drains your wallet and leads to cancer. If it didn't work for you and you didn't like it then good, I would stop now.

Agree with Mora Fiend. Also, my first experience with reefer I did not have any "positive euphoric effect" and have heard the same from others.

Possibly the same for you with nicotine...

I find that tobacco does have euphoric effects in the form of cigarettes. However, I don't want to smoke cigarettes because I can't stand the smell and don't want to damage my lungs. The very short euphoria from cigarettes is not worth the smell or other downsides to me. However, my understanding is the risks of snus are very low compared to cigarettes and I thought it would be nice if I could get a nicotine buzz from time to time without smelling like smoke.

The euphoric effect of the nicotine in the form of the cigarette smoke is due to the route of administration. The reason you don't get that euphoria from the snus is because of the sublingual administration of the nicotine. Also, the euphoria from the cigarette smoke goes away very, very quickly. Again I reitterate, do not start using nicotine, it's not worth it.

Nicotine also releases acetylcholine which has a mild relaxant effect on your body. However, it still raises blood pressure and has other stimulant effect.

grab a can of grizzly mint, longcut, and ull have a hell of a buzz.

i would say that dip was my first drug. the first few buzzes i got off that were so intense and euphoric i could hardly walk a straight line. don't do too much for ur first time or you'll puke ur brains out and never try it again.

I can't stand the tobacco buzz where you can't walk a straight line, it's such a dizzying sick feeling. I just wanted to a slight relaxation effect from time to time without having to inhale smoke.

I habitually smoke cigarettes and I still don't think there's any "effects" from nicotine. Just one of those things I'm not too sure why I do it. Even when I first started I never got that "high" that some people use to rage about back then. Unless you mean that dizzy/ sick feeling from breathing in too much smoke instead of air the first few times you do it, but I'd hardly call that a fun experience. Don't expect to catch a good buzz from nicotine, especially dip tobacco. It's possible that it did affect you, (actually I'm sure it did especially if you aren't experienced with it at all) but it was so much less than you were expecting that you simply didn't notice.

That, and the only way you'll puke from it is by swallowing the nasty juices that come out of it. Nicotine won't cause you to od and puke like real drugs will. I repeat, there is nothing euphoric about using tobacco. You haven't missed out on anything. It may make you a little dizzy, but who wants that anyways?

Tobacco is euphoric, I know from experience. And the dizzy feeling is from nictoine and not smoke inhalation. I can inhale 15 times as much smoke when smoking marijuana without ever geting that feeling.

I don't feel like I'm missing a great deal by not using tobacco, like I said the euphoria I get from it is very mild and short lived and would probably dissapear with habitual use. ike I said i Just wanted to use snus once in a while.

snus is too weak. i dont even mess with pouches since they're less effective. give grizzlh a shot i found it to be the strongest and give the most intense buzz. and once u get used to the effects u wont get the nausea anymore. i used to get it every now and then when i was starting out.

i dont mess wih tobacco products no more tho. its just not my thing anymore.
