snorting tramadol

Hi

Is it worth snorting tramadol? I ask cuz ive just eaten a massive dinner and don't want it sitting in my stomach for 2hrs before I digest it

definitely no. it is one of the most unpleasant things to shove up your nose. i think the only that would be worse would be hot sauce and/or wasabi. tramadol needs to pass through first-pass metabolism for any opiate effects so snorting would be worthless and painful. tramadol is already pretty worthless and shitty IMO, not worth it...
 
^ agree, snorting tramadol is horrible (I may have tried it once, haha) and pretty pointless, it has a poor nasal bioavailability.
 
Not only would it be useless and clog up your nose, it also wouldn't properly metabolize into o-desmethyl-tramadol: the component responsible for the majority of a user's opiate effect. Otherwise, does snorting an SNRI sound like a good idea?

It takes dosing over several hours to get Tram to work properly.
 
I'm guessing that would burn the shit out of your nasal membranes. It already burns my tongue when it's on there for more than 2 seconds, I have to grab my water really quick. I'm guessing sublingual tramadol would be horrible, too.

I can only imagine the havoc it wreaks on our stomachs, especially in high doses. Pillthrill, an ex-Tramadol addict, had to plug her doses of 800-1000mg (don't do these dosages), as she would throw it back up every single time after a while.

i saw a friend attempt to snort a line of tram. he got through 1/4 of it and started to cry.. i literally laughed my ass off
 
I don't endorse snorting the shit, but I'm sure I could find something that burns worse lol...This almost makes me want to waste one when I get my new script just to see what it's like lmao...
 
C'mon guys, tramadol has its place. I really enjoyed them, it's pretty euphoric, and stimulating.
But snorting them? Hell Noo.! It's already stupid to snort pills, since they have a lot of binders.

I might well give it a go, my mum has a cupboard full of the stuff having recently had her hip done.

I snorted Chlorpromazine (thorazine) once and it was by far the worst thing I've ever put up my nose by a long way, I've almost got to know of Tamadol is worse just for reference;)
 
You do realize that you would need to snort at least 3 pills? And i still highly doubt that it'll get you high.
Just pop them, House M.D Style.

That's about what tram is good for in general unless you metabolize a particular thing a particular way; then it's better than most other opiates. I envy those people haha. Tramadol's SNRI profile always made me manic / suicidal (so to say, brought it out more, maybe not the manic.. but def the latter.. bad times.. 2 attempts in a month - 6wks? avoid anything w/ an SSRI / SNRI if at all possible).

Ignore this if they work for you medically, as I am very happy for you! (honestly!) :)

Gonna close this though; run it's course and well, was answered before t'was asked. Don't snort Tramadol folks.. especially not the XR ones thinking you're going to get something.. Other than altered brain chemistry for several hours / days.

For the record, I want to say that 400mg tramadol / day is equivalent to 20-30mg oxy. (someone PM me and I'll edit it if I'm incorrect, might even give ya props!) This was the general idea I got from the opi calc, a few forum members, and my own doctor / his reactions to how I was taking the (useless) meds (aka me = take more, this help? no, rather die. derp.)
