snorting/sniffing

So I am starting this thread for anyone who has snorting/sniffing experience.

Now I have sniffed some questionable things. Perc, Vicoden, Tramadol, Gabapentin, hell even Kool-Aid for "fun".

When snorting drugs for a high, I've always wondered what to do to get the most of it. I've heard snorting in the left nostril only. I've also heard (if snorting in the left side) plug your right nostril, push up above your left eye and snort really hard.

Any other tips or tricks to get the most out of it?

Wow, you've really given this some thought, eh? Personally, I usually use the left one unless it's clogged and then I use the other one. If they're both clogged, I jog in place to raise my respiration and once it's all clear, away we go. Does that help?

To be honest none of it makes any real difference. Except dont sniff as hard as you can, your trying to get the drug onto the mucus membremes at the back of your nose. Not into the bottom of your lungs!lol
Also, chop as finely as possible or you will slice the sensitive parts of your nose to pieces.

Lungs are not a required part of snorting. There have been a few threads around here about other techniques. IIRC, one is called "More efficient intranasal", basically use a bendy straw and blow the powder up your nose. I also started one, "Lung safe snorting", where you use your throat for suction. There may be more; search around.

For snorting, I recommend using a straight piece of plastic tubing around 4 mm outer diameter with a very thin piece of soft rubber tubing (< 4 mm inner diameter) stretched onto the end. The rubber bit will protect the inside of your nose from scratches and allow you to push deeper, bypassing partially-closed nostrils. I always use both nostrils and very rarely get nosebleeds because of the rubber.


Flush with saline between sessions to get the old powder out and let the new one stick to the nasal mucosa.

I don't see why people use blades to cut up powders. Just grind them on a hard flat surface with a blunt object (lighter, bottle cap, use your imagination).

And why are you snorting vicodin? The sheer amount of APAP in it makes me cringe. Do a CWE first. I won't even ask about the Kool-Aid...

Just out of interest, the part about blowing the powder up your nose has origins that go back a long long way. The tribes of the amazon basin use a similar method with two people to take the hallucinogenic snuff yopo.

Intresting, I never knew/thought of that before.

I however don't snnort anymore. I'm actually trying to quit (going to post a new thread asking for help following this comment). The thought had just crossed my mind while browsing random threads on here. I thought I'd ask and see what everyone had to say.

i snort heroin atm, trying to get away from syringes.

i find that whatever amount im doing, ill cut it in half, do half up one nostril and half up the other. that way each nostril has less powder in it; hense more powder can absorb.
after so much snorting, the mucus membrane can only absorb so much at a time, therefore the reason you get "The Drip" which is whatever your nose failed to absorb.

Thats also how you know if you snorted something too hard, you should never get a drip instantaneously

This ain't rocket science yo ya check wich nostril got more airflow ya cut yer drugs up into a nice powder an ya plug the other nostril up an inhale. Yer good unless if yer snortin oxy then yer wastin an I will find you an take yer shit an then you won't have a problem with how to snort them pills.

^ good plan haha... Yea snorting is simple, I use the nostril least destroyed by drug inhalation in the past haha.

It seems to make logical sense that you would snort half the dose in one nose and the rest in the other so as to spread the substance across the greatest surface area for fastest absorption?

I still rem my dumbass friend that intro-ed me to coke made me suck the shit up via a straw through my mouth into my lungs since i was uncomfortable with the sensation of putting something in my nose. I am certain thats not healthy.

yea back when i used to snort dope before injecting it, id do one line in one nostril and another in the other one, thus leaving the first nostril hit time to kinda clear up, btw if it doesnt your dope might not be super great, its should snort the way it inject nice and smoother with nothing left over. if you are a clogger like me get some psuedophed and for the love of god stay away from oxy...oxymetazoline HCL nasal spray, i have never experienced rebound effects so bad as i did with this stuff, goes undere the brand name afrin and afrin plus. it works wonders, but you pay for it in the long run when you seriously cant breath without it. i kid you not its like cement in your nose. horrible horrible stuff.

and to the act of snorting you do want to vaccum cleaner it uo your nose, do it slow making sure you are coating the mucosa membranesyou can feel itstick if you do it right, you may have a little runny nose butjust keep snifflin lol

on a side note, i had been clean for a few onth and got 2 20's from my regular guy who to put it mildly was very happy to see my white ass. so i get homw with the FAT 20s proceed to rail each of them nice and slow to savor that b12 and vinegar flavor and man i was wrecked. it was almost akin to shooting up (the high and the rush) it really is about technique and a litle squirt of saline afterwards to get any lone rangers isnt a bad idea either, gets the rest out of your sinus passages.

Let me tell you nasal sprays with xylometazoline hydrochloride (Called Otrivin here) is fucking MAGICK. Would always clear my nose after dirty cut coke. Unlike other sprays it doesn't cause running, allergies, rynitis etc and it never caused any issues with even years of daily use for coke nose regardless of the "use for 7 days only" directions.

The other sprays where horrible in comparison.
