Just snorted for the first time, a tylenol-3
It made me cough a bit. Is this normal or did I fuck something up?

Welcome to Bluelight Yay!

The sensation that made you cough is most likely the powdered pill binders and fillers making their way to your lungs as dust. This action repeated over an extended period of time can lead to complications of the lungs usually this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulmonary_talcosis

It is caused by normal insufflation (snorting) but is probably made worse by inhaling too hard. Also you should be more selective in the pills you use in this manner. T3s have a huge amount of binder and filler so in order to be absorbed the active compound must make contact with the membrane and if there is only 10% active in the powder you are inhaling them 90% of the membrane is covered in crap that prevents the good stuff from working, to put it overly simple.

Not trying to scare you as complications arise over a long period of repeated exposure so if you gain some understanding of what you are doing and the things you both can and can not do this way you can avoid complications all together.

Yeah, oral dosing is the way to go with codeine. As szuko000 said, way too much filler. Also, the dose to actually get a high from codeine even for somone with no opioid tolerance is about 90 mg. or even higher, ime.

Pill insufflation isn't good for you no matter what, but some pills are alot more worth it due to smaller amounts of binders/ fillers and a higher dose of the active.(hydromorphone comes to mind) Vicodin is another one that's kind of a waste to because of all the apap in it. I would defintely stick to oral dosing with codeine.

I agree, Tylenol 3's are definitely not good for snorting. You should get some percs without Tylenol for that..

Man, I must give you some simple advise. You obviously don't have a real snorting habit now.
It would probably be a good idea to not start one.
It's really not worth it.
Just my .02 cents
