Snorting Oxy after facial surgery?

I had 3 major parts of my cheek/facial bone broken on the left side of my face. Wasn't sure I wanted to go through with it... but they said the asymmetry of my face from the broken bones would become more apparent overtime. So I went through surgery the day before yesterday by literally the best surgeons in the world, at the best hospital in the world. They cut in through my mouth and drilled in 3 titanium plates to put the bones back in alignment.....

They kept me overnight. I came out of it looking like I should be cast in some fucked up horror movie.... I almost screamed when I looked in the mirror for the first time. My left eye is almost swollen shut, and my left cheek/mouth and even my right cheek/that side of the face is as swollen as a balloon.

Unbelievably, they gave me just 5mg OCs (Yes, they actually make 5MG IR OCs, no APAP).... So I have to take 3-4 of these "baby Ms" to just relieve my pain every 3-4 hours.

I also happen to have a little bit of a normal 30mg Roxi left..... I've been following instructions real well so far...besides the original instructions for Oxy dose (called my doctor and really layed it all on them about how ridiculous it was to think they could prescribe me the same fucking dose kids are given for Wisdom teeth extraction... and he understood.)

Part of my recovery is using Nasal spray twice a day, take an antibiotic... and Psedophredrine.... so it is clear that it is important to keep my sinuses from too much pressure/from getting infected/congested etc.

This sounds like an obvious one.... but would it REALLY hurt to blow a single small line? It's already chopped up from before all this, and also not enough to just take orally... plus I am sure you can feel my pain.... I'm in a ton of pain, with nothing I can do but sit around all day (opposite of my personality), I really would love to have an extra boost of pain relief and feel goodness... especially with such a weak script.

It's probably only like 7.5mg of powder out of a blue roxi.... I feel like if I blow it - WITH THE SIDE THAT WAS NOT OPERATED ON - - then immediately follow with the instructed 2 fat squeezes of Ocean Nasal Spray... I would totally fine? I'm sure this would be a horrible idea if done multiple times, or chronically, or with lots of powder... but literally just once.

Let me know what you would do.

I personally wouldn't risk it. No matter how small the chances of problems arising, how bad would you feel if something like your sinus got infected and they say they need to carve your face open again and change the plates out? Possible negatives really outweigh the positives.

If you need to make the most of a small amount, oral could work (as it has a higher BA than nasal), as long as you potentiate it, empty stomach, etc. Or you could always just try plugging it.

swallow your oxy; problem solved. oral BA is around 80% (varies), while nasal BA is only around 50%. i have nothing against snorting substances, but i don;t necessarily like to do it. however for some drugs, nasally is the only efficient ROA that provides the best sensation

advice taken. definitely not worth it, even though there is probably no risk for one small line. Just sticking to swallowing my 5mgs... ill blow that after im all recovered.

Yeah I think that would be an all around bad idea, too much risk and not enough reward in my opinion. Stick to oral as suggested, or of course you can always plug it as also mentioned.

Good answers here, but since it has indeed been answered I'm going to close this thread now. OP, feel free to PM me if you would like to re-open it, or if you have any questions.
