Snorting LSD?

Curiosity has gotten the better of me, and I can't seem to find a legit answer online other than "my friend has tried it and..." Anyway, my question is, if I was to snort a tab of LSD, would it work? How would it compare to a 15 minute sublingual administration before swallowing it? Also, since usually when your RoA is insufflation, does that mean the LSD will hit you faster, hit you harder, but not last as long, with the possibility of the peak being shortened as well?

Keep in mind, I'm talking about snorting an actual tab of LSD, not LSD in liquid form, but an actual tab teared off of a blotter sheet. Also, I guess that leads to something else I just got curious about, how would it work snorting it in other forms, the same as an LSD tab I assume?

Didn't somebody die after snorting a line of LSD crystal once? Probably a bit of a myth but doubt it would do you much good. You could drop liquid into your nose and it would work. Just sticking a blotter up there probably won't do a great deal though. May get a bit of absorption but not enough to do much of anything, I'd imagine.

i've seen my friend snort a microdot....but thats different. I can't imagine snorting cut up paper into your sinuses. imagine all the paper cuts in your nose...

if anything...dissolve the tab in some distilled water and snort the water
 
it all just sounds like either too much of a pain, or too risky. what ever happened to just orally taking it?? i mean, if you've taken it regularly and you have a certain tolerance to it, i just don't see it affecting you any differently whether snorted, smoked, injected, or taken orally... i'm pretty sure snorting lcd is not common for a reason..

During the 70's or 80's (cant remember exact date) four college students bought a gram of what they thought to be cocaine, and turned out to be a gram of crystalized LSD(lucky bastards) not sure of the exact ug dosage but I remember seeing the article awhile back. anyway they were all taken to the hospital and all four of them turned out alright. crazy shit...will find the article later
 
I think it would not be completely impossible but not as potentially effective as one could expect, because for absorption from a blotter - grinded or no - there needs to be a form of in vivo extraction. The blotter needs to be wetted thoroughly and strained, which happens virtually without effort in your mouth. In your nose, that's a whole nother story.

Not such a ridiculous question if you are just being curious but don't get me wrong if I say I'd just forget about this if I were you. :)

Though I am tempted to add insufflation (this thread) to the LSD subthread list as a route of administration just to fuck with peoples heads!
 
I don't have a tolerance, but I was curious because I know that generally when anything goes up your nose, it hits you harder and faster, but doesn't generally last as long. Hell, I'm not even big into snorting lol.

IVing LSD has no advantage over oral LSD or rectal LSD other than shortening the time it takes for the start of the come-up - that is to say, you still will need at least 30mins to plateau, even if you IV it. Snorting will not be very different. LSD is pretty different from most other drugs, psychedelic or not.

That has been my experience, and with IV I only tried a minute amount. YMMV.

For the dinner party where a bindle of pure crystalline LSD was confused with another one of cocaine and this case of mistaken identity resulted in two fat lines being chopped out and snorted by the 8 people attending: Klock et al. (1975) Clinical Toxicology Volume #8 Issue #2.

But yes those people shorted over 100 mg of LSD; thats a very very silly thing to do. It does seem to point out its active when snorted, only since its used in quantities 1000 times léss then these idiots did; I wouldn't really see the point.
 
if you really want to do it another way other than orally, you could always put it on your forehead and a sweatband over it to keep it there, and do something that gets you really sweaty for like half an hour.
