Was just thinking about this this morning...Remember back in the old days when Coca-Cola actually contained cocaine? Can you imagine how great that must've been. Throw me down a puddle of that shit and I'd snort it right up! The best part of it would definitely be the drip! That refreshing Coca-Cola Classic test everytime you hock back and swallow! Damn, why couldn't I have been born 100 years ago...

I don’t know….every time I laugh and have coke in my mouth and it comes out my nose It burns like a mutha….. They still add coca to Coca Cola™ ( go figure) . The Coca Cola™ company is the largest importer of coca in the US….. the just take the cocaine out now (so they say, I am addicted, and NOT convinced) and sell it to the pharm companies. How would you like that job eh…… I don’t think there was very much in Coca Cola™ though. Any one know how many mgs per can? Hehe…. Off to the net.

Yes, an z. glass of coke had 60mg of cocaine HCL and about the same amount of caffeine. Those must have been some tasty rum and cokes>

They got rid of the coke after some reports of people dying from cocaine toxicity surfaced. There was one year the AMA reported 26 cases of death from cocaine toxicity from using it as a local anesthetic. Still, not that great of a reason to ban it from OTC items.

Slightly off-topic -- has anyone ever taken a couple lines worth of coke orally during a night of much snorting? I and others I know have, and we seem to have a better, smoother comedown and not have the "get high, then crash and burn" effect as much with this combo. I realize that cocaine has very limited activity orally, but perhaps a slight bit of action is enough in this case to make a difference? Then again, maybe it's all placebo...

It is less effective orally but you can still get some significant effects if you swallow enough. What is going to get absorped gets aborsped in the duodenum fairly effectively but the rest will get destroyed in the stomach. I wouldn't bother though because apparently there is some risk of gut gangrene because of the local vasoconstrictant effects, ie blood flow gets cut off to some stomach or intestinal tissue and becomes gangrenous. Just put it up your nose like most normal people do...

I don't think anyone in this forum actually remembers when they put cocaine in CocaCola, but yeah, I bet it was "cool" .. I bet you could just get a big bowl of the soft drink and snort it all through a straw!
