Misc Snorting Bupropion(Wellbutrin)

i've found that snorting wellbutrin gives a stimulant high similar to methylphenidate or low quality cocaine. however i am concerned about the seizure risk. i've been using clonazepam and Depakote along with it to prevent seizures, and i've been able to go up to 600mg without any problems.

does taking an anticonvulsant really help prevent seizures or have i just been lucky?

According to this abstract, clonazepam is the preferred medication to antagonize buprpion induced seizures.

Still, this practice is of questionable safety IMO.

Yes, anticonvulsants do (in fact) help prevent seizures.

They don't universally prevent seizures, just reduce the likelihood. You're still at risk of having a seizure, especially if you continue snorting bupropion. So many factors influence seizure threshold, so what works for you one day may not work the next

I'd not recommend doing it in the first place, but if you do, always use some kind of anticonvulsant along with it.

i've always though the seizure risk for wellbutrin is bit over hyped, but still its better to stay on the safe side.

The risk is fairly low when taken orally at prescribed doses (a 5% bioavailability) however when insufflated, the peak plasma concentrations are much higher and therefore much more likely to cause a seizure.
