I picked up some brown H today for the first time ever, and I have snorted white H a decent amount of times. I only snort the drug, no smoking or injecting, and I was wondering if the high will be any different with brown H? And will I need more/less to achieve that high? Thanks.

Thats NOT the case around here (KY, Cincy)...My guy gets some really dark grey rock/powder shit that made me almost puke smelling it!!! they arent able to get this shit that often though... lately its been light brown to brownish, with speckled white parts, its good, but not nearly as good as the dark grey dope

He might mean brown as in the standard freebase Heroin found in Europe, it's called "brown" here. It's freebase and so doesn't work IV unless you add some kind of acid, the same is sort of true for insufflation - you can snort freebase Heroin and get effects but they'll be dramatically reduced over snorting it in salt form due to the incredibly poor absorption, so if you have freebase you need to add some citric acid or another clean acid that's easily accessible to you, and either snort the mixed solution, or evaporate it back out into powder and snort that.
The EU brown I've come into contact with usually smells like vinegar from residual acetic anyhdride/acetic acid. Sometimes it's cut with caffeine to make it easier to smoke, so I could see people cutting it with coffee for the same reason.

Regular salt heroin can also be brown, so you should ask your dealer to find out which it is, or alternatively, take a small pinch of the stuff and see if it dissolves in water - if it dissolves fairly well (it doesn't have to totally dissolve, some of the cuts are insoluble in water) then it's salt heroin, and if it seems to barely dissolve/not dissolve at all it's almost certainly freebase or mostly some insoluble cut, and needs to be turned into a salt before being snorted or IVed effectively.
My shit looks more like the coffee picture than the heroin picture haha... although I just snorted a shit ton of it (hard as fuck to do, even when I crunched up the pieces) and am feeling some effects. Thanks for the help though, I'm just going to try and get the white salt heroin next time, because I'm not really sure what to dissolve the brown stuff in. But at least it's doing a little bit of it's job as H right now.
