The article has as many holes in it as a Bangkok brothel, but his references do make for interesting reading. I don't have access to Pubmed anymore, so I haven't been able to read the journals he's cited. That he hasn't cited a reference for his main source, the article conerning insufflation and dogs, makes me less inclined to take it serioiusly - but if his source is valid, it does make an interesting argument against the commonly-held notion that benzos (or any substance) that are not water-soluable are not quickly and effectively absorbed when snorted.
That the argument against snorting benzos is normally used within the context of promoting harm reduction - to advise people (quite rightly) that putting binders and other shit up your nose isn't healthy, does make the whole thing moot. But, I suppose, for those who are pedantic about the whole efficacy thing (snorting binders aside), this may give critics of insufflation a bit to consider.
Personally, I think this guy has drawn some pretty loose conclusions and his arguments are shitfully drawn, but it is food for thought.
note: i always eat my benzos. by the handful.
except for when i'm really fucked
