Snorting and nose health

I would consider insufflating certain pills to maximize effect, eg caffeine, adrafinil, piracetam. How often could I do this w/out harming the lining of my nose or causing other health problems?

I would never consider snorting any pills that don't have a strong opiate or other worth while drugs to snort...the drugs you mention arn't worth snorting...you can snort probably almost all day everyday, you can snort as much as it takes to get your nose bleeding and the tissue starts to erode away, thats when you know your snorting too much and need to back off........

lol caffeine. I've done this before. It took me two times to realize that it is a ridiculously stupid idea.

Save your nose for other drugs like ones that can actually get you high. You may not use them now but someday you might and wouldn't that suck if your nose was jacked up from snorting caffeine pills.

As for insuflination, I would limit it to at least a week in between uses. Obviously the longer the gap the better.

i'm wondering this too. i've been snorting small bumps of amphetamine daily lately and sometimes i get bleeding, but i thought that was just from the amino acid in there (vyvanse), since they are capsules, not pills with binders. how bad are amphetamines for the nose vs say coke or opiates btw?

If I'm not mistaken, Vyvanse is Dextro-Amphetamine, but it is fused with the amino acid L-lysine, a thus must be broken down, or partially metabolized before it becomes effective, or psychoactive. Therefore, there wouldn't be any point to insufflation because your nasal membranes would simply be absorbing an inactive substance.

it works fine. i just snort a little water along with it and it kicks in about 5 minutes later. i am noticing my gums are getting kinda fucked up tho..very raw..and i'm not sure if this is from the drip or just my daily amphetamine regimen. is there anything i can do to keep my gums healthy without stopping my meds? =(

Firstly stop snorting the rubbish youve mentioned. Its a waste of time.

Secondly, only snort if its the most effective and/or SAFEST ROA.

Obviously every drug is different so decide for yourself.

I wont snort any pill nowadays that I have to crush up, but ill still snort the powder that comes from Oxy IR capsules which is smooth and white as snow and ready to go =D

p.s. I realized I just sounded like the biggest hypocrite. W/E, im high :)

I have never had a nosebleed in my entire life and I am 24. Is that odd? I have been snorting 4mg of suboxone a day for the past year and a half. No negative effects, other than having to blow my nose every morning with wierd mucus + smells have somewhat lost their distinction.

Just to get this back on track, the health of your nose would be best served by making nasal solutions that you spray or snort a few droplets of in order to dose. This primarily prevents the air from carrying the powder into your upper lungs, which, while not a part of the nose, is still certainly relevant. Snorting anything with talc is a very bad idea, as it gets into the upper lungs and cause talcosis (again, the lungs are actually where a lot of concern should be over the health of snorting things)...

Another positive to making a solution is that you can use saline as a vehicle for delivery, and this should reduce irritation to the mucous membranes. If you put a lot of irritable material in your nasal cavity, saline won't prevent the material from damaging the membranes, so be wary of this as well.

In summary, snorting safely should follow a few basic steps: 1) Make sure there is no ingredient in the pill that makes it unfit for snorting (talc being the primary offender, but there are others); 2) Make sure the chemical itself isn't obviously damaging or irritating to the nasal membranes, such as 2C-T-7, methylone, etc... (If you decide to snort these, know that they aren't safe or pleasant to snort...); 3) Make a solution, either a large, multi-use one, or just put a few drops of saline over your line or pile of powder (put in a spoon or measuring cup, and use just enough saline/ liquid to absorb it fully), and then snort it/ spray it up there!
