Stimulants Snortin' Vyvanse and other amphetamines?

Hey all,

I've been recently getting into putting amphetamines (lisdexamphetamine in particular) up my nose for a quicker inset than eating them outright. I noticed that the nasal bioavailability must be significantly lower than if I were to swallow the capsules. This means I'm liable to take more than I usually will - but is there a sort of dose regulation (I.E. use 1.5x/2x as much) that I should follow when doing so in order to prevent myself from accidentally exploding my heart?

It's because of how vyvanse is metabolized in the Liver. Vyvanse is designed to not be abused, so taking it orally is probably the way to go.

Adderall would be the way to go if your wanting to snort but it also is limited compared to speed.

Careful. Buproprion burns like a mother fucker, which will eat away at your nose if you do this for too many years. And too much in a day can cause auditory hallucinations, nosebleeds & seizures.

I'm surprised they won't prescribe it to you though. They hand it out like candy where I'm at & even acknowledge that it's abuse-able.

This is not true. It is metabolized in your blood. You can totally snort it or even IV it, but it just doesn't work any better - at all.

They've done studies showing that IV lisdexamphetamine produces just as much "drug liking" effect as oral lisdexamphetamine, in comparison to a vast increase when injected using dexamphetamine.

Yes.
Buproprion is often used here if you have depression that doesn't respond to SSRIs/SNRIs.

I snorted it when I was younger & desperate for something once in awhile. It definitely works. But it makes you feel like shit when it wears off.
And of course that burn is not something I'd wanna be doing long term.

It's crazy though, I once met this dude who had just gotten out of prison. And he traded me a big bottle of generic buproprion for a whole half ounce of weed. lol Glad some people find it useful for something though, cause it doesn't do shit for my depression honestly.

There was a thread here not long ago with a guy that was addicted to compulsively snorting MASSIVE amounts of buproprion. It was quite the read, but now I can't seem to find it.
Can't imagine how he's doing about now if he never stopped. He was doing scary amounts of it instranasally, if I remember correctly.
