Said swallows are now making a nest on my front door.

They were almost certainly born there. In fact, here they are as babies on my door a few years ago.

One of those is almost certainly the mother or father who is building a nest in the same place now. Swallows homing instincts put pigeons to shame.

So proud of my babies.
 
This is getting stupid. Just released a blackbird from my woodburner. Flew around the living room a few times before banging it's head on the way out through the window. I've had a couple of sparrows do this before but not a blackbird which is considerably bigger. I think I have to get the chimney swept properly now, maybe birds nest on top.
 
My snoo for today was sleep, bedtime stories from my sweet Shambles and all of his cuteness, Text from my sweet Kate and a message from my adorable Sprout! All in all a fabulous day!
 
I would also like bedtime stories <3 sounds blissful, sadie, glad you've had lots of snoos.

[edit]my blackbird just abandoned her chicks due to a stalking stray cat I nurtured fer a bit and put flea treatment on cos she was looking mangey and mistreated ... she now looks glossy but is stalking zee small winged things ... I'm rapidly becoming a canine convert

That's ever so kind of you, but I'll just have to start some bedtime story training on a friend until they just give in. Greediness is the best anyway hahaha.

He has been quizzing me. I'm trying to earn brownie points through tests so I can steal teddy again :D
