Snoo V7 - ah spring, has sprung, a SNOO! (bless you).

Am thoroughly approving of the amount of hoop and ring talk in the Snoo Thread of late. At this rate it's gonna have to be renamed the Fnarr, etc Thread.

Dishwashers all round then? Excellent.

You could get me a washing machine too whilst you're at it if you don't mind. It's hard work washing by hand in a bathtub.

(failing that maybe just a mangle to help with drying when it's raining out)

Thanking you :)

We had a dishwasher when I lived at home and I never did see the point cos you had to part-wash stuff before putting it through the machine to get stuff properly clean anyway. Mind you, that would be quite some time back now so hopefully they're not quite so shit now.

Dishwasher FACT! They were invented over 100 years ago... can't recall the name of the woman but she was an heiress... well, a rich, old money type woman anyway I do believe. Wanted a machine to replace her kitchen staff cos she didn't trust 'em with her fancy porcelain.

When was the last time you used a dishwasher?

That is the issue with today's society - too much technology n machines replacing people doing good, hard work.

You mean like computers with access to the internet where there are websites like BL? Yeah, I can relate to that, as I'm sure a few others can. :p

I've never used a dishwasher. cos im such a peasant

Some of us were born peasants...

When I was about 15.

... whilst some of us strive to achieve peasanthood later in life.

It's really not that shocking given I left home at 15 and I've yet to come across a bedsit or similar dosspit that comes with a dishwasher. Nor a washing machine for that matter. I also don't own a freezer. Nor a working cooker at the moment actually. Television is only semi-practical too for that matter. Slowly but surely I am reverting to pre-industrial times.

I have pondered the idea of going pre-industrial for a week. Or at least without my phone, laptop & TV... would make for an interesting week.

Actually, I think just going camping for a week somewhere in the highlands would be the easiest way to do that.

It's not at all a deliberate reversion to the 1700s - just so happens that stuff costs money to buy and even more money to run. Plus I don't have room for dishwashers and washing machines - or even a freezer or fridge-freezer - really cos they don't seem to have taken such things into consideration when fitting the kitchen here.

Yeah, my new flat's kitchen is incredibly teeny so there won't be space for a dishwasher. Plus I suspect the freezer will end up having to live in the lounge.. yay for city centre living.

It's worth it though... living in a city centre is awfully convenient... so convenient that it'll make you lazy though. Sometimes I can't be bothered to go food shopping & it's only a few minutes away. I was rather irate when the corner shop at the bottom of my road closed. :D (grats on new flat... think I might have seen it mentioned here somewhere a while back)

Had a freezer in my bedroom briefly but - like so many things like that I get gifted - bloody thing never did work. Thing is, you can't really complain when somebody gives you something useful like that in apparent good faith and believing it to actually be useful. Freezer and a great big TV MamaSham gave me never did work and such things are a massive pain in the arse to get rid of. I ended up paying some of the local yoofs to take the freezer away. Went to the shop the next day and found it sat by the side of the road within spitting distance of my front door only round the corner a bit. Best tenner I ever spent 8)

Cheers! Have somewhat mixed feelings about the new flat but hopefully it'll be okay. No doubt I'll get lazy though. Plus just down the road there's a new takeaway opening that's geared towards stoners. It looks amazing.

Dishwashers and laziness? Ah, bless. With the amount of cooking I do I think I'm allowed to be lazy with the clearing up. If that makes me a shit junior housewife then so be it.

Good god. The only time I haven't had a dishwasher was when I was in halls at uni. I certainly felt like a peasant.

Think I would have to kill myself at least an hour in.

Jealous of new flat swampy (even without a dishwasher ;)). I can't wait to have my own place, other people are overrated. I miss living in the city centre like I do at uni, nothing beats convenience.

God, I wish we had a dishwasher. You'd think with two women in the house it'd get done double quick but noooo.

Snoo for today is my fiancee coming home with an early bidet present for me cos she couldn't wait til my actual birthday to give it to me (fnarr). Tis a boxed NES, with manuals, light gun, cartridge, everything, in mint condition. It's even got the receipt from fucking 1992 in it, and weirdly it was bought in her hometown. None of the papers are yellow or anything, it looks like it was bought new yesterday. Fucking delighted <3
