Snoo v:5 - Springtime Snooing

Heh, we just did that at the Full Moon. It's easy to do if you are clever and smart, like us two ladies are ;)

I may see you up there, or I may end up at a pub in Montpelier, not sure.

I shall give you a ring if I decide to go Golden Lion x
 
a quickly planned camping trip turned out to be absolutely amazing, started off with a wee k-hole then a nice bit of rum whilest snuggled up with a lovely gal, on the walk home my two mates donated me some diaz, which was so much help today, had some nice jelly legs earlier, woke up at around 7 or so there, necked another wee diaz, got a chinese and am feeling good and comfy, great night, great people, great snoooooooo =D
 
As I was getting ready for work at 8 am this morning, I Got a text from my little sister who ive not seen in a year and a half telling me she was driving to Cheltenham for a work meeting at her head office, and would drive a bit further to Bristol to spend a couple of hours with me! Was a total surprise, work let me off shift early as my flat needed gutting and a good tidy after the weekends goings on!

She took me and my boyfriend ( who she'd never met before) out for dinner and a drink, and came and to see my new flat. She said i'm looking healthy and happy. <3

I could not be happier tonight!

thats great to hear CCF, always good to see siblings, my sis away to Budapest then croatia for festivals, kinda left on a bad note with her, plus she had the chance to see aphex twin and didnt so im very disappointed in her, but will be good to see her face again
 
Aw thats lovely Cherry :)

Major freebie snoo for me today - went out to get a load of cutlery from someone on freecycle as I have hardly any (almost got a wicked chair too but someone just beat me to it, grrr) and on my way home found 2 large blue plastic glasses, a red plastic tray, a bright green veg rack, a lovely mug and a plate. Woo! Had also been to a few charity shops and bagged myself a new jacket (reversible black/pink, hell yes) and a slinky blue top for hardly any pennies at all, and 4 large wine glasses for 50p each.

Then to top it all off on the walk home I found a newish intact copy of the American journal of addiction medicine on someone's wall by their bin. Random as fuck but made me smile :D

Back to work tomorrow too, which is a snoo for me as have been off lately as haven't been feeling great, so will be lovely to be back in the swing of things.

And weekend-streetparty-park-friends snoo too. All in all Effie-world is slowly becoming a brighter place :) <3
 
^ Nice find! I got a nice teflon frying pan, and a decent pyrex dish and lots of IKEA knifes and forks on someones wall. And my bf found me a nice purple denim skirt. I love Bristol for its recycling culture!

I need to find a copy of the BNF, but then again I can probably find it all online.
 
I got a spare, can let you have it next week :) bit out of date but most things don't change at all..

There isn't much leaving-stuff-on-walls-for-peeps round me but there was loads where I used to live.. might go on a wander round and see what I can blag :D

Am seriously skint this month, lucky I have food in the cupboards (and veg in the garden!) or I would be struggling to make it to payday.. so was well in need of a snoo :)

Ah, thank you. That'd be good. I've volunteered to be trained to assist with administration of meds, but it wont be yet.

Yes, we shall most certainly arrange something this week. I can come to you straight from work maybe as i'm closer to your place than mine after work. My birthday on Sunday too, but not sure what i'm doing yet. Celebrations will be on Friday if I decide to do much. Might just let it go and pretend that I'm not turning 31 ;) 12 hour shifts start the day after my Birthday, OUCH! Over in 3 days though, then sleeeeeeeep. I'm going to stop waffling now, somethings making me talk too much ;) Early birthday treat, making the most of the last of my easy workign weeks before day and night shifts.
 
Well it's three days until payday so when somebody handed me a box of thirty 50mg tramadol just now I wasn't going to turn my nose up. Even though it's tramadol and not exactly my favourite thing.

She has some codeine too apparently, which she offered to bring in tomorrow. So it's not all bad, especially as my tolerance is low enough to enjoy these things at the moment.

At the very least I'll have something to accompany a spliff this evening. Not bad for a freebie, eh?

I got a free sunflower plant at work! It's pretty small (there are actually two in the pot) but it's bigger than a seedling. Woo!

Plus my boyfriend's scotch bonnet is growing chillis thanks to my tender loving care, so that's a joint snoo I reckon :)

Also work went well despite being late. Phew!

They certainly are, been craving one for sooooo long now but the one I want is a big back/shoulder piece by this guy and I just don't have the funds :(

What are you getting?

Tempted to get a small foot one in the interim but worried I'll be disappointed cos its not the one I've had in mind for so long, even if it's actually a lush tattoo!

My snoo today was finding out that a training sesh is tomorrow not today, giving me a free afternoon :D

I got the tattoo a few hours ago, got 'Here and now' wrote on my arm, to remind me to stay present and not think about the past and worry about the future.

What one do you have in mind?

You should get a "Life's Too Long To Not Make Plans" on the other arm to balance that shit out. You'll never get anything done otherwise ha. =D

Very jealous, I have 3, all now well over 10 years old, I had plans for quite a bit more work but due to a skin condition can't have any more done.

The missus just had a nice one on her foot as well.

I really love the sound of that, the idea of being present in the moment/mindfulness is ace :)

As for mine.. I love the 3rd and 4th on the top row here, and the 2nd on the bottom row - love em all really but I think those are more "me". I'd like it kinda organic looking even tho it's geometric, going over my left shoulder and down my back.. tempted to incorporate something Buddhist in there too as I have some sanskrit writing on my right shoulder meaning "freedom" but am not sure. Would need to book a consultation with the guy as I don't want to copy anyone's tattoos, I want to work with him to make something unique :)

Although actually my bf's mate does tattooing in a similar-ish style with Buddhist influences, all by hand not with a gun, so might speak to him..

Aww that sucks atm. I'm sure you don't want to disclose your medical conditions here so I won't ask, but I have psoriasis (guttate, not too bad, just spots on my legs and torso) and it really caused problems with my second tattoo. It often flares up wheverer I have a graze or cut, so the tattoo triggered a flare and lots of the lines bled out and smudged.. you can see where the worst of the psoriasis was.. not too sure how to get past it really, will just wait til my psoriasis is really calm I guess and maybe go for the guy who does it by hand as it might irritate the skin less...

Determined to have my tattoo at all costs! Haha :D

I'm not bothered about shring my medical woes and this is one that all can see anyway, its even on the backls of my hands.

I to have psoriasis which has plagued me for 20 years and been acute (ie 40 % coverage) on more than one occasion.
At one point I had to go on Ciclosporin for well over 6 months, its mainly used for transplant patients and suppresses your immune system.
Theses days I have patches all over but I maintain it with a regime of baths in a special paraffin oil and a calcipotriol, which is a derivative of vitamin D (Dovonex)

Any way I digress and am filling the Snoo thread with sad snoo ....but have to say I have been a medical curiosity in many ways for many years;)

The last Tattoo I had done just fell out of the skin, I know the guy who did it really well and he just re did it for me a few weeks later and its been OK ever since, maybe I will have another one day if my skin is in really good shape.
 
^ will have to pm you for some psoriasis tips atm, mine doesn't sound as bad as yours but it def interfered with the healing and has blurred my tattoo.. we will get our tats dammit!!

My snoo is that I now have a muthafuckin' modstick! Woo! Sadly no authority to beat any of you with it here, but if you venture into BDD you'd better be on your best behaviour..

Slight anti-snoo is that I am away this weekend and my dongle internet is almost worse than useless. Am perched on a table desperately trying to get enough signal. How sad, haha. I suspect this will be my last post til Monay..
