Snoo v:5 - Springtime Snooing

I don't suppose anyone who had no cash, crippling debts, is over his overdraft limit on all his bank accounts and credit cards (meaning daily charges) and has £12 to his name would have spent half of it on a bottle of wine either though but I did. :D

How do you go about declaring bankruptcy?
 
Spade, you can get the forms from The Insolvency Service website, and you can get the CAB to help you fill them in. Google reckons it might be different for Scotland, so, er, Google it! It's a piece of piss, but it costs £450, or £600 if you're working, or something like that. It's the best thing I ever did. You go to court to pay the money, there's no hearing or anything like that. I just had to speak to some bird, and sign some forms. Then that's it. Free!
 
LOL at the irony of having to pay to go bankrupt. And it really is as easy as me saying "I'd like to go bankrupt", hand over £450 and my £10k of debt just dissapears?

What's the catch?
 
Nah, there's no catch. Seriously. Aside from the irony of the payment.
 
Ken, of course there is a catch. You canna just wipe off all your thousands of debt for a payment of £450 or every cunt would be at it, I'd go get another few grand now before doing it.
 
And on further reading it means no credit (even getting a mobile phone) for up to 10 years, possible problems getting jobs, banks closing your accounts etc. Haven't read anything about it affecting travel yet.

Been snoo'ing over some Arran Aromatics lavender hand wash and hand lotion I bought today %) The smell is amazing and lingers...pure lush <3

It's hardly going to affect traveling. I wouldn't have got my last two jobs if I'd been declared bankrupt. Would struggle to get anything but a minimum wage job round here these days, a lot of employers will credit check you before they'll hire you.

As far as I know you cannae even get a proper switch card, you just get a shady wee cashline card & a basic bank account designed for weans, if you can even get a bank account. Absolutely fuck all credit for anything, like you said, not even a phone contract. That would probably fuck you for using a cash card abroad if you went on another traveling mission.

I'd see bankruptcy as a last resort rather than an easy way out.

My snoo is listening to a tune that reminds me of the epic day/night out I'm gonna have the mora. 1pm kick off, acid, MD, nitrous, booze & apparently some good ching. Mess. It'll be a fucking mess, but hopefully in a good way.
