Snoo v:5 - Springtime Snooing

almost missed the thread, got a good snooo.

At work they were throwing away a load of old junk, including a never used combination key safe that I was told I was able to take home :)

has actually never been used and is a cool looking safe. Nice to get freebies from work when they are having a clearout. :)
 
Ah, but it looks like a classic 3 combo key safe to me. U can't fool me! I'll have it if u don't want it?! Cud do with a combo safe to play with. Reckon I cud crack it.
 
I'd have that safe, combo or not. Just to look at.

I have a thing for well-finished metal. Not quite a fetish, but getting there.
 
erm.. I am happy because I was able to get it from work for free, not much chance of me giving it away now is there. =D

How would you crack it? I was doing some pondering and thought I could maybe use a stethoscope to hear the clicks to crack a similar safe. Don't need to though since I have the combination and can change it too.

It is a pretty safe :D I was very worried when I was told that they might not know the combination for it, they offfered me a disgusting other safe instead but it looked so ugly I was insulted, lol

Luckily the combination was on a bit of paper on the inside of the safe :)


I Love safes, and secret hiding places, would love to have a a coffee table that was a fishtank but when slid smoothly to the side would reveal some stairs leading into my secret underground bunker =D

Lol, probably never going to realise that dream, maybe when I am super rich and I build my own house.
 
A stethoscope wud help if u know what to listen for. Ur after what's called 'contact points'. It's where the gates catch on the fence. Probably easier to feel for them on this type of safe. This can get pretty complicated, if u really wanna know I'll send u a link to a good book!

I love all that shit as well. Would love to have like a secret room or something in my house.
 
^^you can get them here from the companies website, am sure you can guess the company from the picture.

Just had a look at the website and getting one of those direct would have set me back about £100 or more, even more chuffed now, might try and get my hands on one of the other two similar ones that are being thrown away too, unfortunately they don't come with the combinations though.
 
I wonder if theye are any building companies out there that specialise in making secret passages/rooms? Like rotating fireplaces and shelves that activate when u pull a certain book?

Surely SOMEONE must've been commissioned to make summat like this at some point, no?
 
If you've no real need for it then isn't it just a pointless waste of cash? Thought you were saving for a mortgage or something.

I am saving for a mortgage but it's a hundred quid man, I'm saving with the intention of buying a flat towards the end of the year. Hardly gonna snooker the whole plan. I probably won't actually buy a safe, I want to though. Might get one once I move out.

Anyway, I'm actually just saving to prove that I can spend less per month than I actually do, then I'm going to use what I've saved to furnish the flat. It's not like I'm gonna be able to save 20k for a deposit before the end of the year. My maw's hooking me up with that by extending her own mortgage as far as I know, with the intention of finally getting shot of me lol.
 
A hundred quid is a fair bit of cash when your saving, seems silly to throw it away on something you've said you don't need. Every little helps. ;)
 
Anyone serious about saving wouldn't spend £100 on a safe they didn't need or £50 on 200 NOS canisters or whatever other shite you've bought this week. :D

Oh I got my wine open with corking it, looked doubtful there for a while. Result!
