Had my performance appraisal this morning. Getting a bonus :D (never had one before so excuse my excitement...). Just missed out on 'exceptional performance', because I need to show more leadership (fair comment).

I'd gone in there all miserable because I'm mostly fed-up. Boss ended up giving me a talk along the lines of 'we have to sort something out, because I'd hate to lose you because you're bored'. (Don't have any answers about how to make it better, but it's nice to be wanted... )

Lazyscience: sorry to be a dick, but it'll be a mistake, they'll find it, and want the money back. Probably easier all round if you just tell them.
Spade: how's your variance? Are you just posting the wins, or are you really doing this well consistently?

I have a few small losses but far outweighed by the wins. By the end of tonight I should be looking at £2.8k in profit in about 6 or 7 weeks.

I'm living on a crisis loan myself, but I just walked past a homeless guy who is often sat in the same place, I gave him a quid as it's all I had in my purse. His face made me happy. Least I have a roof over my head.

When I came back out of the shop he called me over, winked at me and thanked me with a nice grin. I sat talking to him for a wee bit. Intelligent man, he's made me smile.
