Opioids sniffing opiates/heroin after tonsil removal surgery

what's up guys here's my situation/question....
I just got my tonsils removed today and I'm in recovery so I was not given much liquid lortab from my doctor and to add to that my mom is dispensing me every 4 hours a small amount. my question is has anybody who has gotten their tonsils out (I'm 20 years old) insufflated either something like heroin or opana after getting their tonsils out? I am not supposed to eat food with sharp edges and can't really eat more than mashed potatoes or mac and cheese (and obviously soups and ice cream). if anyone has any experience with this that would be great if you could help me out to let me know if it will cause bleeding or just extreme discomfort. my friend has a jab of dope and I am thinking about doing some.
 
You could also use a diff ROA if your worried about harming your throat..
 
I had my tonsils removed - believe it or not - MOSTLY to obtain prescription pain meds to support my addiction, I was that low :|. How embarrassing: note, I did have extraordinarily large tonsils and was told since a little girl I should have them removed (had hard 'glass' like balls in there - more than periodically)

. Point being, I know the urge to sniff a little something (snorting oxy - as much as pos., is my vice). Take this time to 'take a breather' (no pun intended!) and lower your tolerance regardless of where it's at. Just take your meds via other method - for all/any reason/s.

Wait 1 or 2 wks if you can, go back to snorting if that is your preferred ROA. I'd rather not jeopardize anything going 'wrong' in the tonsil/throat region at this time. ;)
 
thanks for the advice. i've never used needles and don't plan on it. my friend has some dope so the only other ROA would be sniffing. Unless anyone has tried sniffing anything after removal of tonsils then I guess I'll just not do it as I really just wanna do it because I am in so much pain and it would feel great.
 
I'm with Amapola for sure. They are giving you a solution/suspension right now, so as long as you try and keep your alternative solution particulate-free and free of other toxins then you should be alright; as Amapola my fellow Canadian said, just try and keep it from going down your throat and you should be good to go--pain free!

so I think I am going to dissolve the dope in water and then sniff it up from there. thanks for the advice guys.
 
This might be off-topic, but how are you feeling, man? I will need to have my tonsils taken out too at some point, and I hear that adult tonsillectomies are absolute hell. (I'm 23...)
 
haha yea i'm 20 and it hurts pretty bad (the only reason I wanna do dope... i have been clean for 56 days now and am jeopardizing my sobriety just to stop the pain). it really hurts to drink and eat. the surgery itself is not bad because you are under anastesia but the next day (where I am at now) is pretty rough. according to the doctors the second and third day are the worst. they give you some pain medication but my mom is dispensing it to me and 12.5 mgs of vicodin really doesn't do anything to me. good luck w your surgery.
 
i had mine out when i was 18! it was aweful. i really do feel your pain. you have open wounds in your throat!! I was and still am a smoker and wouldnt even smoke a cigg for a good week afterwards bc i was so scared of infection. you dont need any complications! i was also given way more pain meds than you. the doc gave me 120 perc 5's. i ate so many by the second nite and hadnt eaten a thing that I was puking from them!!! I just wanted the pain to go away plus the buzz was great! But it hurt my throat soooo fuckin bad throwing up!!
But in all seriousness, dont snort the dope. Its gonna hurt. Plus with all the shit its cut with and bacteria in it(obviously not a sterile product your getting) its just not worth risking an infection. And im saying this even when I KNOW and remember clear as day like it was yesterday(really 10 years ago) the pain that you have right now! I really do!
I think your best bet is to ask your mom for a bit of a higher dose of the liquid. If she says no then call your doc and ask him if you can take a higher dose and if he says yes have him tell your mom that its ok.

thanks guys.. i ended up just not doing it because I am almost 60 days sober and don't wanna ruin what i have going over a little pain. i got my doc to bump me up to 12.5 mgs of lortab at a time which is not a lot by any means but it does the trick. thanks for the advice !
