Sniffer dogs

I heard that in Sydney at an event after Parklife, there were tonnes of cops and dogs everywhere, including on the dance floor. The cops seemed pretty obtrusive (more than usual) with their searches, too.... talk about a mood killer!
 
i have a question, and im sure it has been answered but theres so much debate i thought i would post it.

Can dogs smell acid tabs? i cant imagine how insane their smell must be to smell a microdot of LSD on a blotter of paper. but some insight would be helpful. if they can't smell it, why isn't lsd use much higher at events with dogs?

LSD is not detectable in small quantities. There are sniffer dogs (not in AU) that are trained to sniff larger amounts. Taking them past sniffer dogs here is relatively safe.

Acid isnt widely used in the clubbing scene as say like Mdxx or whizz. I personally would never take tabs at a rave again unless its an outside doof. Almost had a bad trip in a club once, never again. If u wanna dance use stims. I use acid to chill.

I wholeheartedly agree; clubs and festivals aren't the friendliest place to take acid. Unless you're a seasoned tripper it's likely to end up being a less than the peaceful/tranquil/enjoyable/introspective experience lsd has to offer. Personally I'd save it for private events or ones out in nature ;)

Also while the dogs almost certainly won't be trained to detect lsd what are the chances that the baggy/foil you have has been handled by someone who had recently handled pot/ecstacy/speed? How many people would be handling 'cid exclusively and not any of those too?
 
At Godskitchen on Sunday, the dogs and boys and blue were swarming the place. Like badly. Its been a while since I've seen the dogs go inside the actual event but they were constantly patrolling the inside of the event, walking up and down with a dog, just randomly picking out people.

I would like to see a report on how many people actually got down. From what I saw all night, the police were hassling heaps of people.
 
Parklife Adelaide - no dogs seen at the line, but saw at least 2 different ones doing the rounds inside the festival

What time did you notice the dogs and how long were they out?

Sigma-Aldrich produce a Pseudo Narcotic Scent LSD formulation that is used to train LE canines. I'm not sure how widely this is used but it's almost certainly in use if it's being produced as a training aid.
 
Just to let people know(sublime) - I saw no police what so ever at Godskitchen on Saturday night
 
I'm not too sure on the science behind this, but I have heard that if the drugs are above the dogs head/nose or whatever they can't smell it, like if you have something in your jacket pocket right next to your heart or something they wont smell it because it is too high? And generally people keep shit in their pockets in their pants which is usually the same place a dogs nose would be.
I didn't read through all 22 pages on posts so I'm not sure if somebody already suggested this, but yes.
Hopefully someone can let me know if I'm right or wrong :)

A dog's smelling radius is much further than a few cm.

Sounds pretty wrong too me:p.
They have excellent scences of smell. If they can smell through large containers, trace scents for miles, then they'll be able to smell whats in your jacket pocket. I've heard this rumour before, don't trust it.
 
I guess this rumor came about because a dog might sniff your pocket if there's something in your pocket, but the chances of him jumping up and shoving his face in your jacket are a lot lower.
So I guess if I had to choose between pants pocket and jacket pocket I'd still take the jacket option
 
Ive tried coffee...pepper...just double bagging and putting it in my bra...and ive brought corpious amounts it...i guess its easier for a girl...or if your real para just wait 2 hours after the events started...RSPCA comes and takes the dogs away cause they can only work 2 hours straight...
