Sniffer dogs

Yeah it depends on what the dogs are trained for, some are for illicit substances, some for money, some for bombs and so forth. U just never really know although these days a lot of them are trained for heaps of different things. I highly recommend watching this, it gives you a really good insight on how they operate.

Why would the trainers waste their time and energy training one dog each on something specific? Believe me. They train the dogs to be capable of sniffing out EVERYTHING. It's dependent on where they are and for what as to what they will be searching for.

From the research I have done. most seizurres occur from people carrying 'transfered' scent. Ie dirty hands from touching contraband.
One problem arrises is that different dogs are trained to indicate on different items. So at a rave event you might think about 'oh no my pills' but the dog is probably there trying to smell money (just an example as they can smell cash)... Who carrys 10k to rave? :) most likely a dealer... stop him search him...observe him bust him. Or sweat. Dogs can be trained to indicate on paranoia. You dont really know what they are looking for. In many cases the Dog at a rave is there to serve as a psycological detterent. There are what 8 in 10 people smelling like a drug of various sorts? So serious detection is unlikely.
If I was to consider doing something like that (and I wouldnt I am simply interested in research of these topics) I would consider using Black Carbon. A bag with product X Vacum sealed. placed inside a bag with reacted charcoal (like fish tank cleaner) This sucks up and absorbs smells. then inside another back devoid of air then wrap in latex then wrap in black insulation tape in a nice little dildo shape :D Then ram it up yer arse. :) make sure that your hands and body do not come into contact with any surface teh product has touched during preperation. Make sure that the product has not been bagged for more than a few hours. Smell will eventually permeate anything even metals. The charcoal will suck up a lot of smell. Dont try to use cloaking smells .... its an old trick and doesnt work, it may even draww attention to yourself. But hey what do I know I dont do that stuff.

This is like the most "get smart" ( old 70's secret spy show reference) i have ever heard of getting stuff in.

Clever.

There noses arnt that sensitive otherwise they woulda picked me up for weed when i attened a briabane festival was only in my pocket

Like has been mentioned, not all dogs are trained to smell things. Although it's not just a ruse either.

Wonder why the police don't exploit the sensitive nose that pigs have, I for one think it would be quite fitting.

Hello fellow Bluelighters,

The AusDD moderators have discussed the matter and decided to close this thread. It was created 10 years ago, when the rules and moderation of Bluelight were very different from today. Given that we don't allow discussion of how to beat other drug detection methods, such as saliva/urine tests or how to hide one's stash, we feel it inappropriate to allow this thread to remain active. Bluelight is dedicated to harm reduction, however this does not extend to providing information on how to evade the law.

The thread will not be deleted but will likely be moved to the archive in due course. Have a nice day and stay safe :)
