I have had no luck at all on this. Without solid evidence to back it up, I will have to say is . . . .

So all I can say then is that I got swabbed twice at the same airport (Brisvegas), maybe they were practicing or some shit, but the second one told me it was a drug swab he was doing.

If I do find any evidence I will let you know, have a break in my travels for a few weeks, but may consider asking said swabbers when I go through next time.

No worries man. I just thought it would be pretty major news if it was happening. Surely a high percentage of people would be giving positive readings. Then again they are supposed to be swabbing steering wheels somewhere in Aus.

just one obvious question. if a substance is in a sealed air tight bag then how can it be smelt by dogs??

i understand dogs have an amazing sense of smell but if the substance is in an air tight bag then it would nt be able to be smelt as there would be no scent.

thoughts???

Ive just had a thought. If youre trying to get past dogs, why not get someone who isnt carrying to get super stoned, and basically stink like ganja to walk past the dogs seperately, just ahead of the group with gear on them, the dogs will go wild for the person who smells of weed, and everyone else can walk through safely...

Two points that I'm sure have been covered before;

1) polyethylene is in the form of branched chains that allow small molecules such as terpene vapours (odours dogs are trained to detect) to pass through. Repeated wrapping may limit this but it won't prevent it over time.

2) Dogs are incredibly good at focusing on one particular odour. Bombing with perfume, etc is hardly likely to deter a well trained dog, unless the odour of what its searching for is non-localised i.e. over everything.

well if you get a stainless steel pipe, put your stash in that, weld the ends up, you are getting pretty close, stainless steel is not hygroscopic, so this is a good start. Mind you its going to be a bit dodgy when you take a grinder in with you to open it!

There is a pretty good link on here somewhere that shows how sniffer dogs can get a scent through petrol tanks and everything.

I saw the news a while ago and they were showing how coke was hidden in a metal piece. Its hared to fool the dogs. Just get sum activated charcoal to fuk up its sinuses. Rub it on ur shoe and VOALA

Because a dog getting fucked up sinuses and becoming actively distressed when it approaches you isn't at all suspicious :/

Nevermind that if they figure out what's up, you can get charged with impeding an investigation or assaulting an officer, which would probably fuck you over a lot harder than any posession type charge.

okay, okay, I need to make something clear, activated carbon/activated charcoal, does not affect the dogs sinuses etc . . .

Activated has very strong odour adsorping properties, it is for this reason that AC can be used to mask the odour from the puppy dogs. However it only works with certain chemicals/hydro carbons. It also has a finite life and once it has adsorbed it's measure it is saturated and will no longer adsorp odours.

Hope this makes things clearer for a few

i dont see how simply wrapping your bics in layers of gladwrap and sticking it to the side of your mouth as you come through entry wouldnt work ?
i mean so long as you make sure no clothing or skin comes into contact with the bics themselves, and even then if the dogs did smell something, let them check you down but they wouldnt find anything ?
i dont see a problem with that ?
