^^Agreed. If you actually had the flu, you probably wouldn't even want to smoke. Flu is a serious illness with a sudden onset (it hits you like a freight train IME) which will put you in bed for days. The symptoms are:

Typical influenza illness is characterized by the abrupt onset of high fever, chills, a dry cough, headache, runny nose, sore throat and muscle and joint pain. Unlike other common respiratory infections which are often called "the flu", influenza can cause extreme fatigue lasting several days to weeks.

If you haven't got those symptoms, it is unlikely you have flu - you probably have some miscellaneous viral infection.
