Smoking weed after nose surgery?

Hi!
On tuesday I will have surgery due to the bone inside my nose is a little crooked, causing me to have problems breathing through my nose. It's not rhinoplasty, or major surgery. I will be given anesthesia.

Im wondering if it would be okay to smoke marijuana after the surgery, to help with the pain and sleeping. I will be given pain meds, but still I would prefer marijuana. My only concern is that the smoke could irritate my nasal passages even though I exhale through my mouth.
(not sure if the smoke even enters the nasal passageways, just a concern.)

Any advice is appriciated. I live in Norway so asking my doctor is not an option. Not sure if it matters but the doctor said I could continue weightlifting 1 week after the surgery.

Yes it will be fine. Eat it if you need to though, or make a sublingual spray. There are lots of alternatives to smoking the usual way.

I'd go with oral cannabis instead of smoked. I'd worry about infection or irritating any open or healing wounds. I didn't smoke for about a week after I got major jaw surgery - but my jaw was also wired shut for months, so it was probably more serious then what you're describing.

Thanks for such quick replies! I would much prefer smoking, since I suck at making edibles and only have 3grams. But still, I will do as Chainer said and go with oral cannabis. Not worth causing an infection in my opinion

3 grams, eh? That means you've got 3-4 firecrackers, and 3-4 firecrackers equate to a nice, stoney, maybe-too-intense high that could potentially knock you right the fuck out if you ate them all in one go.

I started smoking a week after I got my wisdom teeth pulled out. That was in 2009 and my holes have not completely filled in yet.

Go with the edibles, I've found oral ingestion better for pain management anyways.
