smoking recon,is it's punch overstated?

Ok I bought a half oz of recon that was still sealed direct fro the dispensary. Also have looked up pics and from my best educated guess is it's the real deal. Anyway it's pretty good but jut isn't what I thought it'd be with 27% thc content. I know there are other cannaboids that help make up the high but shouldn't this shit floor me? I have been smoking nothing but pharmaceutical weed for about 6 months(girl scout cookie,lemon ogre,blue dreams, etc....) now so I'm sure my tolerance is raised but the other mj I've been smoking doesn't come with in 4% thc as the recon so I suppose I was expecting to be slammed!!!!

Number isn't everything. It's often not even correct. But the subjective effect is highly dependent on the terpenes.

If it was truly 27% it should be caked in trichs. Often growers in CA take the best piece of the best cola, the A+++ 1 gram nug out of a 10 pound harvest, trim it, then have that tested and use it as representative of the whole harvest.
