I searched the forums already and couldn't find a clear answer to this one. I have a scrip of methylphenidate HCL 10mg tabs. The IR ones that turn to dust when you crush them. Recently I find myself taking them orally at way higher doses than normal and not really getting the high I want. I tried snorting them but that didn't do much of anything at all. I am tempted to crush them up and try to smoke them but I am afraid of doing that. With this version of pill, could I potentially smoke something lethal? Would I need to prepare it in a special way to avoid any harm? Am I better off just taking them orally since at least I know that's how they were meant to be taken? Ideally I'd love to just not feel the urge to take anything at all but I can't seem to fight the desire to do it. So I guess if I am going to, I want to find the safest way possible to get my high. Suggestions please so I don't hurt myself? Thank you
 
Plug them. If you haven't tried doing a CWE, filtering, and evaporating the water on a plate- that greatly reduces the amount of filler making snorting more enjoyable and effective. Smoking any type of pills is a terrible idea.
 
I have done CWE with norcos before. I honestly did not realize I should do the same with these. Maybe I will give that a try instead. While I enjoy a good high, I am not interested in hurting myself. So I won't attempt to smoke them. Thanks for the advice.
 
definately do a CWE to obtain a purish product. Personally I would investigate MPHs salt and base properties in order to obtain pure MPH crystals via a simple acid base extraction.

regards to smoking. im sure it is possible. you would need to investigate to ensure heat does not break down MPH into something toxic or harmful to the lungs. i dont know if it is smokeable as a salt. it may be an an oil in base form.

if the above sounds beyond your capability i suggest sticking to a careful CWE and snorting the reduced volume powder. the higher BA for intranasal should help you get higher, if that is your goal.
