Hello, this is something I have not yet tried, and because I enjoy snorting the stuff- the mallie 10's are pleasant on the nose and have this smell/taste going in that I like, and the slight numbing reminds me of coke- I'm not making plans to do so. However, I've seen people reports of people smoking ethylphenidate and it made me wonder about smoking Ritalin. Perhaps methylphenidate can be smoked (vaporized, really) to good results. I don't know of any reason why methylphenidate would be different, in fact, I would imagine it to be better simply because it's more potent.
Now, before someone chimes in with 'smoking pills is stupid' let me make some comments. First, there's nothing about smoking pills that makes it more or less dangerous than, say, smoking marijuana or tobacco. Second, compared to other things people smoke, the quantity consumed is miniscule. I figure if snorting 5-10mg gets a small buzz, then smoking 2.5 to 5mg would do the same, with the possible benefit of a small rush. Third, the administration of the non-drug components of the pill via snorting is certain to result in some ending up in your lungs, which can be very bad for you, especially with repeated, long term use.
Has anyone here tried smoking both compounds? What was your experience? Did you smoke the freebase or a salt form? I would think that, like amphetamines, it could be consumed in this manner as a salt, but I'd be a bit concerned about the lability of the ester.
It would be interesting to know how well methylphenidate can be vaporized compared to levophacetoperane, both as salts and freebases.
On a side note, when it comes to potential new drugs, I wonder why things like levophacetoperane haven't been explored. If ethylphenidate is a drug people are willing to sell, why not levophacetoperane types? Instead of the diphenyl motif, replace one with the reversed ester on some of those super long lasting stimulants. Wonder how mdpv would be with such a modification.
