Smoking meth while on adderall?

SWIM has taken 2 adderall and is going to a friends to smoke crystal meth in a few hours. Swim was wondering will the adderall make the meth not affect them? I don't care if the meth cancels out the adderall as long as I can feel the meth.

This is just a bad idea, plain and simple. Firstly it is never a good idea to mix different types of amphetamines, however I guess if you keep the dosages low all around the harm may be reduced. This thread screams 'harm reduction' in that I hope some people start chiming in on the risks of smoking methamphetamine after having taken adderall.

I wouldn't smoke much meth if I were you, it also seems like you have no fear of this combo, that one may 'cancel' out the other. Did it cross your mind that this combo could be very dangerous and bad for your heart? Do you know what a stroke and heart attack are? Are you aware that these drugs may increase each other's effects, with more likelihood of side effects that may not be very pretty?

What was the amount of adderall taken, obviously '2' but were they IR or XR? What size?

Don't do it. Mixing stims is generally not a good idea, as it tends to bring out the unpleasant physical effects without synergizing the desired euphoric effects. Someone who likes stims more than me might chime in something different though...

I am going to take 2 30mg pills adderall instant release at 4 PM to get through my work shift. I won't get off until 11 PM and I have to drop something off at a friends, then go to get it then go to my friends house...so who knows how long all that will take. I probably won't get my first hit until 1:30 AM. So maybe the adderall will be kinda out of my system a little by then?

I take it we're not going to sleep tonight then. Did you have a full night's worth of sleep (or day depending on your work schedule) before you went to work today? I wouldn't advise it as you are entering binge territory after having taken adderall earlier today now you're going to pull an all-nighter smoking meth? In that case go easy and try to feel the effects fully in between each hit before smoking more. And make sure you get some sleep and definitely do not stay up more than 1 night in a row.

It's just as bad an idea to use a stimulant and forgo sleep as it is to mix potentially dangerous drugs.

But I can understand your desire to use the meth after work, so just make sure you eat a big dinner before you take a hit of meth, that is the only thing I say to do for sure if you are going to smoke it.

yes i slept last night and i have the whole weekend off to recover. I also plan on doing what you said...waiting a while in between hits. I probably won't sleep until tomorrow night but when I need to sleep I am good at meditating to force myself to fall asleep even when still tweaked. I also have ambien (zolpidem) if that doesn't work.

Sounds like you're fine then. Also the meth should hopefully completely overcome any residual effects of the adderall giving you a fresh stimulation and pronounced euphoria if that's why you're smoking it, which I assume is what you're going for is a good time haha not many people use meth for concentration and productivity increases by smoking it.

I think that you will still get high easily off the meth, although it would make sense if you had a tiny bit of cross tolerance from the adderall, it's probably not substantial.

d-amp at therapeutic doses is a reuptake inhibitor and if it had a stronger binding affinity than m-amp, it would block it. There's plenty of dopamine receptors to go around, again, with therapeutic doses of d-amp. I have a feeling everyone is right and you'll just add on a hell of a lot more. It's a slippery slope.
