smoking cigarette tobacco through a pipe.

Anyone else do this? I never finish a cigarette, but I enjoy a good smoke every now and then. I buy a pack about every 2-2 1/2 weeks and empty the tobacco out of them and put it in a pill bottle so it doesn't go stale. I use a wooden marijuana pipe that I didn't like to smoke weed out it because the wood gave a strange flavor to the weed.

Am I the only one that does this? :\
 
i really have no reason why but i smoked tobacco through bongs and pipes during my teens and found it absolutely disgusting. there's proper blends out there which will probably be a lot nicer in regards to taste. i'm not a tobacco in the pipe guy, if i smoke it's a cigarette or cigar.

my first instinct is to close this thread but i'll see how it develops.
 
My father smokes every kind of tobacco in his pipe, he doesn't care if it's cigarette tobacco. Puff puff.
 
I know fellow smokers who do this when they run out of cigarettes. It's nasty and I never feel satisfied after smoking it out of a pipe. Bleh.
 
I can't do it. I tried it a couple times when I was out of cigarettes, but it tasted disgusting and it ruined the taste of many a good weed pipe. No go for me lol.
 
i smoke roaches through my bong, so i guess that qualifies as smoking tobacco through a pipe.
 
No way, pipe tobacco is cured differently than that used in cigarrettes and tastes different, so if I want cigs I'll smoke cigs (switch between rolling my own and manufactured). Only problem is I don't really care for the pipe tobaccos you can get at any local 'smoke shops', I've only really liked proprietary blends from quality tobacconists (which are lacking around here, well we have a pretty good cigar lounge at least). I guess living in the district for a while kind of spoiled me in this regard. They had some really good stuff for cigarette rolling too, there was this one I got that had a distinct hickory flavor to it.
 
uuugh. that's so fucking disgusting. The couple times I have tried to light up the remainders of spliffs in pipes I have nearly choked to death, and after that, the headache and taste made me want to kill myself.

Cigarette tobacco is for cigs, only. ugh.
 
Call me weird, but I find smoking the cigarette itself to taste terrible, but the cigarette tobacco through the wooden pipe I was speaking of to be very satisfying and tasty. I smoke Marlboro reds and go through about a half a cigarette a day. I guess it's the pipe, because i've tried it ONCE with a different pipe, and found it disgusting as you all say.
 
I used both cig and pipe tobacco to smoke jwh out of a pipe before. Never really understood smoking tobacco cause it doesn't really do anything for me and tastes like shit. Especially in a pipe. I would rather stick to weed ;)
 
I don't smoke tobacco on it's own in pipes, however I've smoked it with weed in bongs a good few times. Being from the UK, we mostly roll spliffs (weed/tobacco combination joints) rather than regular joints, and when out and about and wanting a bong hit, we simply take a bottle of mineral water, drink it until there's just enough for bong water, melt two holes with a lighter and use a spliff as the stem, resulting in weed+tobacco hits. It hits you hard and makes you sit down pretty fast, and I can't imagine it's very good for you, but despite not being the biggest fan of tobacco I do quite enjoy this mix.

Also here in Poland people occasionally mix their bong hits with tobacco. It's much cleaner than a spliff in the side of a bottle, and quite enjoyable, plus it makes the bowl last a little longer and stay burning.

Weed alone is still nicer though.
 
I smoke ciggs out of my bong err day. Mixed with weed ofcourse . tobacco on the botttom weed on the top and haul it through the bong in one go.
If you get the mix right it tastes good but if your off by a bit in either direction its gross. and it fukks you up.=D
 
I always smoke tobacco through a pipe.
i mix weed and tobacco with a scizzor till its very fine and then put it in the bowl.

If I'm low on tobacco I might aswell smoke pure tobacco out of my bong. just put in a small amount for maybe...2 drags from a cigarette. You wont taste much of it but it will satisfy the need for nicotine (this only works when you are addicted to nicotine really bad)
 
I've smoked rolling baccy out of a pipe... Which is a hell of a lot closer to real pipe tobacco and that was kinda disgusting. But malboro reds?
 
I'm not sure why it's so enjoyable to me. It could be the fact that it used to be a weed pipe and was used quite often and i've loaned it out to people numerous times so theree's been plenty of weed smoked through it. It does however have a distinct weed taste to the tobacco, but i'm assuming it's from the resin.

I also heard that you're not supposed to inhale pipe tobacco. It was that, or cigars. I don't remember :P But If I could have one ove you smoke a bowl of tobacco from this pipe, you'd probably find it enjoyable. Other pipes, it tastes like shit to me, but the pipe I use, it's just amazing! It does get stinky, so after about 4 or so days, I scrape the residue until you can mostly see just the wood in the bowl.

Also, does anybody know how to deep clean a wooden pipe? Like, rid the smell completely? The thing can be smelt a mile away.
 
ive smoked it through a glass pipe, sometimes its okay, other times its fucking horrible. but mixing it with other stuff makes it much nicer

Could you elaborate on the part where you mix it with other things? (Other than weed, as i'm dry)
