Smoking Cannabis whislt and taking benzos

many people recommend this to me as it takes the dge of thge anxiety/paranoia some people (myself included) sometimes get when they smoke weed.

my question is what benzos are best taken when smoking weed and how long before i smoke should i take the benzo to achieve desired effect?

ive just taken quite a lot of lorazepam (wyeth 2mg tabs nearly 90 minutes ago) as i have a high tolerance and am feeling quite wobbly,i know fancy a walk in thge early morning sun down by the lake a few tokes on a spliff (ultimate serenity imo)

bear in mind im only a very occasional user of cannabis nowadays (once or twice a month if that and then only a few tokes heere and there)

up until 3 1/2 years ago i was a heavy daily weed smoker but due to super anxiety/paranoia/depression i decided to call time om my fulkl time smoking career. (although admittedley all them mental issues were not attributed to the cannabis im sure they exascabated them)

anyway i also have some xanax and some valium i was tempted to pop a few of these then go for the walkand thesplifff.

what do you guys think?

sorry about the jackanory story,i i just wanted to give you a little insight into my drug use and habits.

I would take a benzo (which one will work best for you I don't know... but for me, temazepam is the absolute best, midazolam a close second) about 1 hour before I smoke weed. However I don't get anxiety/paranoia from smoking weed, so I really wouldn't, but if I "needed" to that's what I would do.

If I was doing IV midazolam I would smoke right after the rush stops obliterating me. ;)

This is a pretty basic drug question though, so once we tie this one up, do you mind if I close it?

Do you have any other questions?

btw i dont have midazolam nor temazepam and i dont do medicines IV only oral unless im hospital for procedurewhere i once had IV midazolam for an endoscopy.

Would it be OK if I move this over to BDD? It can stay open there, and you'll get different replies.

We can see if we get some different replies in OD first though, I'm just wondering where this thread would fit best.

btw sorry for being naive but whats BDD? and i was originally going to put this thread in the (misc) section instead of benzos.

you will have to bear with me im still an amateur learning the ropes :D

Benzo' andweed is a great combo, I don't think you need a huge dose of benzo's but a moderate one is better than a light one. I have found ativan, valium and xanax (among others) to all be enjoyable benzo's to use with marijuana. If you are feeling nice off your ativan I don't think there is any need to use valium or xanax, in fact I think if you were floating sufficiently now then taking more benzo would do little to add to the high.
 
I get paranoia too from weed. I don't think its a good idea to take a drug for a drug. Try to smoke less at first, and then escalate when you feel comfortable, or smoke in a comfortable place.

With that being said, Lorazapam 30 minutes before works.
 
well ive just woke up and its 3.55 pm

i went for my walk and my joint at about 12.45 pm,i only smoked half the spliff which complety srewed me over!i had a little walk and sat down by the lake,felt a bit too stoned and stilll slightly 'anxoius' (the joint made me think too much as cannabis usually does,not particulary anxious so to speak) so i deided to head home,i arived home to my suprise about 13.10 because it felt like i had been gone for ages,i sat down stuiffed my face with munchies and the lied on my bed and fell asleep 1ts no 16.10 i still feel a mix of stoned from the weed and the meds.

i took 10x2mg lorazepam (wyeth) @ 07.30am and felt pretty wobbly and nice (i should of left it at that,but il never learn!

then at around an hour before going for my joint at around 11.45am i took 10x10 mg Hk valium

maybe i should not have bothered because at the time i was feeling fine off the lorazepam.

anyway im not sure hw the benzos affected the cannabis...

btw i have a very high tolerance to benzos and a very low toerance to weed.
 
Yeah you sound like me, and pretty lifted from your benzos, wish I was. To answer your question after knowing your high tolerance to benzos (not sure how often you take them, or if that would even be relevant) it seems to me like you enjoy benzos the most, then like some weed to enhance your benzo high.

First, the problem with this and your tolerance is, (trying to stick strictly to your question) you may need to take a decently high dose to help with "any" anxiety from weed, any benzo will help. I'll just leave it at that then one more concern. I'd be more worried (and "I" am) about getting/being addicted to benzos and/or your high tolerance, then worrying about whether which one works best for weed.

The answer to what particular benzo is best for "weed" can't be too hard as I'm sure most if not all will definitely help. I'd say whichever one that you have experience with that you like the most would be best..

I never tried midazolam, but would love to, and would love to experience an IV'd benzo rush.
 
If I take about 2mg Lorazepam around 30 minutes before I blaze I get NO anxiety whatsoever.
If I don't take a benzo before I blaze I can usually only smoke about half a gram, but when I take a benzo I can smoke up to two grams.

In my opinion Temazepam is the best for blazing.
