Just wondering if this is normal.

If it helps, two IV uses were done as well. No one else who used got this, but only one person smoked it.

Mods:

I don't know if this needs to be moved to a different section for me to get an answer or not. I don't come here often.

In the future, you can edit your first post rather than making a new one. Smoking tar heroin (which is crud cut with got know what) would SURPRISE me if it didn't irritate your throat. Shouldn't be serious, probably just irritated from hot smoke. Give it a few days and see if it goes away. Otherwise seek medical attention.

Unfortunately we aren't doctors.

Yeah, I guess I was seeing if anyone else has experienced this. I looked on erowids and found one other experience with this, but the others mainly circled around snorting it.

By the way this was my first time using it. Smoked two chunks and shot two more.

I just woke up and I did this Wednesday. Haha, I don't plan on doing it again. I honestly didn't get a very dramatic effect and still at awe as to how people chase this stuff.

Benzos for me please.

^ what BdP said.. It's not a side effect of the heroin itself so it will either be irritation from the hot smoke, irritation from random cuts in your heroin, or a coincidental throiat infection.. which may have been exacerbated by chasing, or masked while you were high but you noticed it when the opioids wore off.. We really couldn't say!

If it's mild, I would treat it like any sore throat - lots of fluids, throat lozenges if you like, and if it persists/gets worse or you start to feel unwell go and see a doctor. If you are at all concerned about it, get it checked out - even a doctor couldn't tell how bad it is over the internet :) Obviously if your throat swells, or you have difficulty swallowing, get urgent medical attention but I'm sure it's just a normal sore throat and it should get better soon!

Closing this as we're not a medical site - no substitute for seeing a doctor face to face. Pm me with any queries, and I hope you get better soon!
