I was thinking about going to get some of this supplement but wanted to see first if other BL members have used this with success. Is it worth it? I feel like I can't hold concentration sometimes when I need it most, would this aid me? Also, does the 'smart pill' get stocked at typical stores like wal-mart or do they need to be ordered?

worth it for me, yes! don't buy the pill - but it for waay cheaper in powder form. also, take a choline source if you're taking piracetam. there are other racetams - aniracetam, oxiracetam - which many prefer over piracetam, but are more expensive. nootropics are great! i suggest you research them in the forum and others such as http://www.imminst.org/forum/Nootropics-f169.html . nootropics can also combine very nicely with psychedelics.

You will probably not be able to find piracetam in typical stores. I have never seen it, even at specialty supplement and health food stores (I have no idea why). Even if you can find it in normal stores, pre-capped doses will be far overpriced. The best thing to do is to buy the powder in bulk form online and mix it into a drink (orange juice, coffee, or soda all mask the taste well).

Calling piracetam a "smart pill" is a bit misleading. The effects of piracetam are subtle even at best, and even then it must be taken regularly for several weeks to reach full effect. You may find that it increases verbal recall or allows you to more quickly absorb information that you've read. I haven't noticed any significant increase in memory (after taking 1-2g a day for two months). The biggest benefit I gain from piracetam is that it allows me to think more clearly when I'm tired. I'll still feel just as tired, but piracetam makes my mind feel less foggy.

Piracetam has a highly variable effect on different people. However, it's very cheap and very safe, so you might as well give it a shot. Just don't expect anything drastic.

Also, be careful when combining piracetam with drugs. It significantly lowers tolerance towards alcohol (to the extent that I can have a really strong buzz after one beer and be drunk after 3). It also seems to drastically increase the potency of most psychedelics. Check out Xorkoth's 2C-E trip report on Erowid for an idea of what combining piracetam and psychedelics can do.

Thanks for the replies, would it significantly lower my alcohol tolerance even several hours after I take it? ie, I take it at noon and go to drinking at midnight, would it still get me drunk really fast?

It might have a slight effect, but it shouldn't be significant 12 hours after you take it.

Insane anxiety and depression. Normally I'm a pretty happy camper, too! Just be aware that it's different for everyone. Most people have no problems at all, and I never felt like I was in bodily danger :P
