Small nose bleed after 2 pills, no snorting?!

Hi, had a small nosebleed on the weekend after 2 pills that many other people had tested and thought were good/clean. Not a regular snorter of drugs and last time i snorted anything was a week before.

was only a small amount but very concerned. think i might be getting a bit complacent after years of taking shit and probably dont think enough (eg. enough water, too much alcohol etc.)


Does anyone know anything about this or had anything similar? please help.. trying not to get paranoid
 
It could have been triggered by snorting the week before...Your nose would not have fully healed, and if you were snorting something especially painful and/or crystalline then that would certainly do the trick.

Might just be a coincidence though. Do you get nosebleeds anyway?
 
yeah i was hoping it would be from doing k last weekend.. dont normally put things up my nose.
I figured might be something to do with high blood pressure and read some scary shit i dont really understand about "hypertension".

Other than that the comedown was pretty standard and everything was normal.. basically just hoping it wasnt something serious.. keep thinking about my brain bleeding and its enough to make me consider never touching the stuff again!

Havent had a random nosebleed since i was a kid to be honest.

ket can be a bit hard on the nose, depending on how it was cooked.

Although ive put a fair bit up my nose, only noticed it the day after.. maybe a delayed reaction?
How much ket did ya do?
 
high body temperature?
i know my gf when her body gets too hot sometimes her nose bleeds.
 
yea i guess my body temp was high but just regularly high for E

hopefully just something simple like that triggered by the pills rather than some severe side effect or dodgy pills....
 
How much blood was it?

Ive never really had a 'proper' nosebleed in my entire life, seen blood when i been picking too hard or after ket ive had some come out when ive blown my nose, but never an actual nose bleed.

I can see where your cause of concern lies though, your brain being directly above your nose right?
 
^^^ I've only ever had one "proper" nosebleed and it scared the shit out of me! (post-bindge many years ago).

Basically (MDx technically an amphetamine) the induced hypertensive side-effects would probably be a good contender as a cause. :)

An increased core-body temperature wouldn't help either.
 
well, some blood trickled out for say 3 seconds but i didnt have to fight to stop more coming out with the tissue it stopped completely.

tyrael, did your binge involve snorting?

yeah the hypertensive stuff is the bit i dont get.. would you say that would be a long term worry/damage.. or just a side effect showing itself in a way i hadnt seen before and short term?

definitely giving my body a nice rest either way!
 
i'm gonna make a random guess and don't take any of this as fact because i'm nowhere near a doctor or anything

maybe when you did ket, it damaged the inside of your nose but it didn't bleed. could still have been a small cut(s) which just scabbed over and didn't bleed much, but then maybe when you did those pills your blood pressure was a lot higher than usual so this caused the small cuts to bleed a little bit.

like i said, just a guess. but if it was just a little nosebleed for 3 seconds i doubt it's anything serious.
 
Chesh sounds right, but take a break anyway and let your body heal.

PROTIP*

After snorting drugs, bust a Vitamin E capsule open and put the oily stuff up your nose, it is supposedly meant to help it restore, i must say ive tried it after some ket sessions (NEIGHH!!!) and yes it does help.

Most substances (especially recreationals :\ ) can be quite harsh on the nose/cavities/sinuses. The cause could be one of the reason's suggested, or possibly all?

I would say depending on the degree of the bleed, whether there's see-able redness/swelling/soreness, or if they have began more often since this episode - I wouldn't be too worried. Note Darksidesam's post and yeh, possibly take a break from using - let your body recover/become fit again! %)

nice one people! i appreciate the advice. I know youre not doctors but good to get some opinions without the stigma you would find elsewhere!

Nose bleeds can generally caused by a change in humidity. If stimulant drugs are involved, I might consider checking if high blood pressure is the cause.
