Hey so I am a 24 yr old male with no known heart problems. I am 6 foot 160 pounds and fairly healthy although I do smoke. I just took 30mg adderall IR around 2 hours ago and I am feeling pretty good. However my usual resting heart rate is around 70-80bpm and now it's like 50?? I am confused I thought it was supposed to speed ur heart up not slow it down. Is 50bpm safe 4 me u think?? :!. LOL. Maybe I am just thinking too much into it IDk. I do feel a little weird when it beats this slow though. So what gives?? It speeds up when I stand up but I also feel a bit dizzy when I stand up. R these normal side effects??

If u take alot of adderal....

U can have heart issues relating to : slow heart beat, rapid heart beat, irregular beat

This is all normal when youve taken more than the amt your used to. By normal i mean it happens alot not thats its good.... lol . Just be careful and pop some benzos so youll chill out,

Typical resting heart rate for a healthy adult is 60-80 bpm. Rates below 60 are referred to as bradycardia.

There aren't usually any symptoms until it gets below 50 bpm.
Some athletes have slow resting heart beats (athlete's heart).

Adderall should definitely raise your heart rate and I am baffled as to why it would have lowered your heart rate. Paradox side-effect, I guess. Some people would consider 30mg to be a small dose.

And kunmo is right. Adderall can cause some strange heart issues. Which is why I don't mess around with amphetamines anymore at all.

Ok thanks guys I always get so damn paranoid on adderall thats why I have made the decision to not take it anymore unless I somehow need it someday for a medical reason. My heart does all kinds of wierd shit when I take adderall. When i sit it beats usually slow or normal. Whenever I wanna stand and get shit done it starts beating fast as shit and I have to sit down. Then when I decide to sit after standing the beats become irregular on every 4th beat or so it is so fucking wierd I swear. Going from standing to immediately sitting my heart beats like 1..2..3....thump! LOL. It seems like that 4th beat in the sequence has to work hard to get that beat done and it takes a bit longer as well.

I am pretty damn sure I don't have any heart issues because when I don't take adderall I never had 1 wierd or irregular heartbeat. Even when taking in massive amounts of caffiene. But for me the heart side of adderall remain ever so slightly with me for about 3 days after I stop taking it. I think all of my symptoms are brought on by anxiety but who the heck knows. I think addy's are just generally rough on ne1'es heart people eventually get used to it. But damn not being used to this shit and taking it u can definately tell it is in no way good 4 ur respitory system whatsoever! I think being on this stuff for a couple years regardless of what most doctors tell us has to do some type of residual damage. I can only imagine being on this stuff for years and then suddenly stopping, lol, The heart probably does all kinds of wierd shit cause it's used to being on a stimulant.
