slipped up bad this last week. wondering what to expect.

Hello all. Long time no posts here. But long story short I've been IV morphine for the last week about 60 milligrams a day. I am preparing for kicking. But with a slip up like this. I don't know what to expect. My last detox was cold turkey from suboxone that was prescribed by a doctor. I am wondering what sort of level of withdrawals to expect from using iv pain meds because this is the first time I have used a needle. So in short. What I am asking is with using IV morphine at about 60 miligrams a day for exactly a week. What sort of withdrawal will I have. If any because of the short duration of my slip up. I will be doing cold turkey because I don't have the self control to ween off and in my opinions it just makes the WD last longer. Am I just freaking out because of how bad withdrawals were last time? Will this be much easier because I'm using a short acting opiate? Or will I be looking at 2 weeks of explosive diahrea and crying for no reason. I need to tell my work how much time I need off. Thanks ahead of time for all the wisdom and support!

I'm sorry nobody responded to your thread here until now. Hopefully you've been able to figure out a plan toward sobriety.

You'll be dealing with flu-like symptoms that generally suck balls. It will probably last about a week before you start to deal less with physical withdrawal than psychological withdrawal. It'll all be up to you, and the truth is you are totally in control of it, if you believe it.

Eat, Exercise, Sleep, and Fun will be your best allies getting through it.

In my experience it doesn't take long to get readdicted to opioids. It could be worse but i think 60mg IV daily for 7 days with prior opioid dependency will create watery eyes, runny nose, chills, maybe RLS, stomach cramps, insomnia. It should only last 3 to 5 days though. If you can get thru the first 3 days with benzos, immodium you're thru the worst.
