Need some help. Have a housemate addicted to crack cocaine and heroin. When he mixes he's an obnoxious sob, sometimes scary, especially if he's been on a binge for 3 days. As of today he's up approx. 80 hours. Is there anything to sAfely give someone in order to make them go to sleep? Please help. Any response appreciated.
 
It really depends what you have on hand. Benzodiazepines are usually the most effective option but they're not always available and they're dangerous to use with opioids like heroin.

Alternatively you can use anti-psychotics or anti-histamines. If none of those are available, tell your friend to stop using, eat, shower, and try to get to sleep. Heroin is a depressant, and if he uses it alone without the crack he should have no problem falling to sleep.

As the above poster said, the crack is the issue here, if he stops smoking the crack then the heroin will knock him out eventually.
It wasnt clear in your post but I hope you werent thinking of spiking him with something to make him sleep? This is risky for two main reasons, hes already intoxicated with two of the most powerful drugs going so anything you give him carries extra risk.
Two, he might blackout from what you give him and do some really crazy, scary stuff or realize hes been drugged and get really angry, plus giving someone a drug without their knowledge is assault.
If its with his knowledge and your just trying to help him sleep, then id suggest an anti-histamine like diphenhydramine or doxylamine should be safest.
 
Benzos, barbiturates, trazodone/mirtazapine, antipsychotics, TCAs are all good choices. Avoid antihistamines as they interact negatively with cocaine. GHB is another good one. In this case though, nothing can really beat an antipsychotic like quetiapine.
 
^if hes on heroin the last thing you want to give him is a strong downer, esp barbs or g. how do anit histamines negatively interact with cocaine? dont think ive heard that before...

as soon as he stops smoking the rocks he will be in bed in like an hour assuming he does dope afterwards to ease the come down.

Like 'medicine cabinet' said, in what way does cocaine interact with anti-histamines?
Ive never heard of this before and infact anti-histamines are popular because they dont interact dangerous with majority of drugs.
Please post a source for this info.
 
It sounds like the OP wants to spike a drink for him, in order to make him pass out because he is annoyed. Not only is this very wrong, it could potentially kill him, because you do not know what drugs are in his system, and if you give him anymore sedatives on top of heroin, he could suffer from respriatory failure and die.

You sound like quite an asshole. You are willing to risk someone else's life just for your own comfort and peace. I'm sure glad you are not my roomate. I hope that our assumptions about this are wrong, cause if not, you just need to live alone and not fuck with what drugs people put in their body. If he is annoying you or making downright impossible to sleep and live with, then just try and calm him down and talk to him. Ask him if he can please just take a break and recoup for a few days, or take his partying and crazy behavior elsewhere until he returns to a somewhat normal state.

I believe this thread needs to be closed and maybe deleted, if possible. Some of the suggestions people are giving this egotistical douchbag could end up costing his roomates life.

I read that mixing antihistamines with amphetamine causes arrythmia. I took antihistamines with alcohol once during an amphetamine comedown and got a bad case of dyspnea (air hunger) which was horrible. Never again will I do that combo.
 
^that would actually work great. off topic but like 8 or so years ago there was some baltimore guy that went on a killing spree and took a family hostage, the guy had been up for a few days straight, and the family was able to slip the guy some xanax in his iced tea (great way to mask some of the bitter id think) causing him to pass out, allowing for the baltimore county morons to come in and spray him with shotguns and an m4. they say he was reaching for a gun but in reality was just sitting up, he was totally fucked up. they could have easily taken him into custody. i know youre not trying to kill your roomate, tho i know how you feel...anyways, back to the topic lol
