Sleeping Trouble

Last night, I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep when all of a sudden my heart rate accelerated and I began sweating, for no apparent reason. I notice some consistent static overlay all the time (perhaps HPPD), but the intensity of the static increased dramatically for a few seconds. I measured my heart rate at 136 bpm. I've never had a panic attack, so I'm not sure that's what this was, but it sure felt like one. I ended up staying awake, watching TV for a good three hours before trying to sleep again. I fell asleep quite rapidly this time.

Tonight, when I tried to sleep, my heart rate noticeably increased and I began to feel hot, then my stomach started churning. I noted no visual changes.

I have no idea what is causing this. Do you think it is in any way possible that it was related to past psychedelic usage? Here is a complete list of every date I have ingested a psychedelic drug, along with the amount.

6/08 - 40mg 2C-D
6/14 - 50mg 2C-D
6/23 - 50mg 2C-D
6/29 - 60mg 2C-D
7/04 - 75mg 2C-D
7/09 - 95mg 2C-D
7/14 - 50mg 2C-D
7/20 - 64mg 2C-D
8/03 - 30mg 2C-C
8/08 - 40mg 2C-C
8/13 - 44mg 2C-C
9/04 - 15mg 2C-I
9/10 - 25mg 4-AcO-DMT
10/07 - 10mg 2C-D
10/12 - 35mg 2C-D

I know it's been a while since my last usage, which is the main reason for me to doubt that this is linked to anything psychedelic. Really, any insight as to what might be behind this or what I can do about it would be appreciated.

Are you hungry? Coming down with some kind of illness perhaps?

You seem to be using psychedelics rather frequently, they can make you far more attuned to your body's sensations. Perhaps you're just getting worn out.

Try taking Melatonin XR 10mg. I have trouble sleeping normally, melatonin is naturally released by your brain at night to basically make you sleepy. Taking extra will allow your body to become more relaxed and slow your brain processes down. If this doesn't work, I would say start waking up earlier, only allow yourself to sleep 4-6 hours for a few days so you can force yourself back into falling asleep at the end of the day because you're not oversleeping in the morning.

Hope this helps man, not being able to sleep is frustrating.
