This one guy did some cocaine, and he didnt have any Benzo's. He ended up taking like 4 acetaminophens, i told him that was ridiculous and that it was also very dangerouse. (even thought i really idndt have much of a clue). Was i right? please dont think this is unimportant and not reply, i need to know.

Did he take them to try and sleep? They won't help at all, so yeah, it's stupid.

It kinda depends on what mg of acetaminophen. I don't think it'd be very dangerous, but it would probably be pretty damn hard on the liver. All in all a bad idea.

He took four Tylenol, it sounds like. Those definitely won't put you to sleep.

4 acetaminophen (assuming 500mg per pill) is 2 grams, which isn't great but most likely not a toxic dose.

I'm not an expert, though, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

If he needs something to help him sleep he could try some melatonin or some diphenhydramine (benadryl). If he tries benadryl he should only take one or two, taking four could make him hallucinate (in a bad way) and make him feel like shit the next day (on top of the coke crash). There's lots of over the counter sleep aids, and Tylenol is not one of them, in that Tylenol doesn't help you sleep.

All of it? I find that hard to believe. And in fact I don't believe it. Because it's not true. Codeine can (I think) be sold over the counter in Canada, but only by pharmacists at pharmacies. Some of this codeine has acetaminophen in it, but not all acetaminophen has codeine in it. Read the box, I strongly doubt that codeine is listed as an active ingredient. Codeine is schedule 1 in Canada.

no, acetaminophen in canada does not have codeine in it. tylenol 1 (which is OTC in Canada) has APAP 300 mg, codeine 8 mg and caffeine in it. acetaminophen can't have codeine 'in it.' they are two completely different things.

oo ok well, i gues its tylenol one then. thanks for that. wil lthis help with mellowing me out enough so that ill notice it after doiung blow
?

will itmake me sleepy

well, they have caffeine in them so not really. plus you probably won't feel 32 mg of codeine if you're feeling anything like I suspect you're feeling right now ;). don't take any more without doing a CWE though (UTFSE, you'll figure it out. I think there are good instructions on erowid too).

the above posters have given some good advice. melatonin and benadryl are both effective if you are able to hit up a pharmacy. As stated above though, don't go too crazy on the benadryl. only problem with both of those is that they tend to make me feel really groggy the next day, but i get the impression that that isn't really at the top of your list of worries :)

good luck!

Def wont hurt him, but def wont help him sleep at all

Edit: Lol, have taken lots of diphenhydramine before in a similar situation. NOT FUN. Wasn't aware of its deliriant properties at the time

I've never tried it myself, but these two middle-aged women who I infrequently smoke crack with usually take Advil on the comedown, because although it doesn't help or promote sleep in any way per se, it does relieve some of the soreness and aches one might typically experience after a few hours of cocaine use. I've found this especially true with crack, I often tend to get back aches and some random muscle soreness all over my body, sometimes it can be my wrists, other times my legs, etc. I've noticed that crack, specifically, seems to trigger some kind of muscle contractions, especially in my upper back, that makes it instantly feel sore and achy even just after 10-20 minutes of smoking I can start feeling that familiar, very specific back ache come on.

The other aches are most likely from bad posture and the tendency to remain more or less in the same position for several hours at a time while smoking crack. So yeah, I imagine OTC pain relievers like Tylenol or Advil can be helpful for sleep in some cases, but otherwise it's certainly not a bad idea to have a pain reliever as part of your post-stimulant use sleep cocktail, which would include, for me at least, a hypnotic benzo, a muscle relaxer (Soma preferably), and an opiate or other pain reliever to complement the Soma. I'm on methadone though so no opiates for me, just throw me 3-4 Valium or a couple temazepam caps, some Soma, and some melatonin or Valerian root with a warm tea to cap it off and I'm set. Oh yeah, and some weed. Weed is the bare minimum for me, if I have nothing else, it's always going to be put to good use during comedowns, regardless.

Some people do take acetaminophen for sleep, and it works.
Be it a placebo, or the fact that phenacetin, a pro-drug of acetaminophen, is an effective sedative and in some people a good anxiolytic, it does work indeed.
Not ALL the people who take some, but some people, yes.
