I watch you while you sleep
Every flicker of your eyelids
You dream
I watch as you
Weave those tangled skeins
Into a reality
Inside yourself
I want to join you in that slumber
Surrender myself to that black touch
Watch through your eyes
As a world unfolds
Hear it
Touch it
Be you
Instead I stay outside your dream
But your warmth envelops me
That beautiful glow
Reaches outwards from you
Wraps me
Enfolds me
Makes me love you
I can only fight so long
That blackness pulls me down
But instead of that tiny death
I find you
Your glow embraces me still
And we wander together
Through the streets of dreams
This poem is dedicated to someone. You know who you are. I love you.
