Sorry if this us the wrong forum, I see this as being new age, so spiritual was my guess.
I've had sleep paralysis since around age fifteen, waking up unable to move or feel breathing. It freaked me right out until later when I found out what it was and getting around age 21 it became a more rare occurence. The past six months I've tried to lucid dream and astral project, reading up on techniques and ways if doing it.
Well last night I napped after work from 5pm to around 9ish, was still pretty tired, so got some food and a beer to help go back to sleep. Around 12 I went back to bed for the night. Lying there and drifting off, I heard what sounded like the neighbors baby crying, only getting increasing louder. I then started to have a body high, like all hairs standing on end all over my body. I realized the neighbors don't have a baby, alarmed, I sat up. The crying stopped and figured I must have been close to nodding off. I lied back down and when I closed my eyes the body high, similar to that of ecstasy (fuzz all over the body) came back, along with tinnitus and the crying baby, which now sounded like screaming. I examined this in my mind, and the body high grew to where it felt like my while body was shaking and vibrating violently, only this wasn't physical. I could tell I wasn't shaking, because my cat was asleep on my chest.
I remember reading that this is exactly what happens before an astral projection, although I was not trying for one, this just started happening, so I then tried to apply the techniques I read. The crying stopped but the ringing started to grow really loud , and the body vibrations, still not psychical, grew immensely. I then jumped, still fully conscious, into a hard sleep paralysis.
This has never happened, I've always woke up into sleep paralysis, even if I just briefly fell asleep. The experience was an unsettling one, with the phantom crying, and out of the blue, never experienced before body high, which also felt something like meditation I should add. Instead of coming out of the sleep paralysis, like I have every time before, I simply woke up and it was morning. And no, I'm 100% none of this was a dream.
Any ideas? Sorry for typos, doing this from phone
