Opioids Skin ulcers and IVing opiates...

Hey there...I was wondering if anyone here has ever developed skin ulcers while they are using?..A while ago i slipped and fell over nad grazed my shin..Two weeks later it had developed into this hideous skin ulcer and it literally looked like id been shot in the leg. I could see my bone..
I was wondering if any other long term users have had this also?..My mum once told me she read online that these ulcers can form in the lungs of long term oxycontin IVers, but she cant remember where she read it!...8)
 
I've never IV'ed, IM'ed, or SC'ed anything, but that's something you probably would want to have checked out by a doctor if you can't find anything online about it...that doesn't sound pleasant and it could be something very serious...

Thanks Doug...It has been healed for around 2 years now...I certainly did seek treatment though...It took 43 bags of IV antibiotics to get me to the go home stage...I was hours away from losing my leg...Id been seeing a Doc who didnt seem to think it was a big deal..

I had a look at the link DOug..Thanks..I was thinking poor circulation may be due to the location of the ulcer as it was directly over my shin bone under my knee...It was the result of a MINOR wound however
