Planning a ski trip soon...wondering if anyone has tried it. Seems like it could be really fun with a good group of people...

mdma can affect your balance quite severely depending on dose.

The fact that you are putting others at risk makes this a bad idea.

I have not, but it sounds awesome. Of course just taking some MDMA sounds awesome. I've been skiing stoned a few times with mixed effects: sometimes fearless, other times fearful.

Just don't start thinking you're the best skier in the world and try to go off a massive jump. MDMA makes me feel like I can do ANYTHING.

You guys serious? The couple times I rolled, I never had any balance issues. I was rolling my balls off and functioned normally....just couldn't stop tapping my feet and bobbing my head ahahaha

I have a tendency to take an empty water bottle and squeeze it to death all night until its just a crinkled up shard of plastic. Did it both times I rolled...

I fuckin love skiing...one of the few things on earth I love more than rolling AND one of the few things on earth I have not done rolling.

Why? Besides the balance issue and cold air, which would probably kill the roll a bit (especially on the chair lift)....

skiing is a fantastic withdrawl tool for the depression and boredom that follow ecstasy and ecstasty binges...only thing that has the exhilaration of ecstasy...only thing that's helped get my mind back in balance after mdma abuse. I was always afraid if I combined the two, I might lose the fun in one of them.

Bottom line...skiing is way too much fun on its own to need anything else...IMO.

I think sitting by the fire with some hot cocoa while snuggling with friends sounds far more exciting than the skiing part. :3

i havent event read what this post was about. just saw the title and gave me a laugh.
all i can say, is this sounds fucking awesome!!!

Okay guys, come on. Let's think rationally about this. What if the weather unexpectedly turns bad? What if you're rolling hard and your eyes are rolling back or you start mildly hallucinating? You could so easily crash in to someone else, or a tree, or anything. One false move while you're skiing, especially if you're going a reasonable speed, could equal serious injury. Worse yet you could injure someone else. How bad would you feel if you crashed in to a little kid and they hit their head or broke their arm or something?

Don't be stupid, don't mix drugs or alcohol with skiing.

Save it for AFTER skiing, and roll when you're back at the lodge in front of the fire with your friends :)

You would be so scared shitless as you tear down that mountain that you'll forget all about the fact you're rolling

I love skiing and I love rolling but together aint gonna work for me

The fire side with friends sounds like a better plan LOL

I heard cold kills ur roll. Id just stick to smokin bud and ridin'.. for me i tend to focus more wen blazed, wen i'm rolling my thoughts are all over the place.

I think this sounds like a terrible idea in the same way rolling and driving is. You are endangering people around you who haven't consented to being placed in danger. Save it for after a day on the slopes.

I rewrote this 3 times and it still sounds like I'm a buzzkill. Sorry. I love skiing and rolling but the idea of both together just seems really wrong somehow. And I'm not normally a risk-averse person either.

Maybe it's because I keep imagining some dipshit skiing out in front of you, you breaking your leg, having a tox-screen run at the hospital, and seeing "Ecstasy Causes Skiing Accident" headlines in the paper the next morning.

If you do NOT overdo it, then outdoor activities on MDMA are very enjoyable and do not involve excessive risk. They key is not to take too much. A little MDMA goes a LONG way enhancing something that is already very fun and exhilarating. What's the point of getting floored at a rave if you went there to dance? Ditto with skiing. If you're experienced with MDMA, take a very moderate dose and leave it at that. The crisp air, winter scenery, chairlift rides up the mountain, runs down the mountain, and people all having good clean fun would make it a wonderful experience! :)

Yep I completely agree man. Coupled with this:
Bottom line...skiing is way too much fun on its own to need anything else...IMO.
There's no need to attempt to enhance the experience with MDMA! Save it for afterwards ;)

Alright you guys have pretty much failed at convincing me this is a bad idea. "They're both SO AWESOME by themselves, I wouldn't do it because it would just be TOO MUCH AWESOME AT ONCE!" is basically what i'm hearing.

Can't wait for this ski trip =D

you had the idea that this would be a good idea in the first place so don't pull that bs on us. you just posted so you can get people to agree with you and encourage you while ignoring all the dangers and reasons not to do it. RIP

I agree it could be a good idea and I'm actually considering it myself now. You've got me thinking about how it would go. I always thought a little coke would be fun skiing, but ex sounds even better. The thing I've learned from rolling at concerts is that you've got to have the right group of people with you. Being alone, and especially in the cold, ruins you're roll. You need people to touch and talk to. I think you're going to want to have someone else rolling with you, and at least as many friends not high at all. You need people to watch out for you. Also, the lift is going to be murder because you definitely can't split up, so if somebody gets ahead they'll have to wait, even if it takes an hour or more. Same goes for lunch; and be sure you eat beforehand because you don't want to get lightheaded without realizing it.

You're going to want to stick to paths that are safe and well within you're skill level. So if you normally fall more than once or twice on a given trail, don't take it. Check you're coordination and roll intensity before each trail, and plan around you're peak. An idea like this takes a lot of self control, and you're probably going to have to say no to a lot of fun sounding ideas in favor of safety. And if the powder or weather look bad, just don't do it. Also, you're probably going to want to have an SSRI like Prozac on hand so you can end the roll early if you need to. The whole thing would be very tricky, but I think it could also be a lot of fun if you're careful.
